One thing is for sure. The south end zone is going to be loud. I wonder if they'll ever move the students to the south side of the stadium?
I stopped by the stadium today and took a few pictures. Nothing that Ankeny cyclones pictures don't encompass. It's hard to capture on camera what you see when you're there. It really looks daunting. I was very impressed!
Can't wait for Sept 5th

Word is from multiple trades that the project is far behind.
I bet they are all in the interior.Good news? Looks like a beautiful day in Ames, and compared with previous Saturdays, there is very little activity on the webcam (and yes... I do realize there's lots of unfinished inside work).
Does anyone now if/when they will be closing the gap that still exists between the old and new upper decks? When you drive by the stadium on University, you can clearly see the gap from top to bottom where the two deck structures meet. I'd estimate it's about 4-6 inches wide. I'm sure it's not big enough to create a safety issue, but it's plenty big for items to be dropped down below onto the concourse. I have to assume it will be filled/covered, but I would have expected this to be done by now.
Good idea. Hopefully JP has looked into this/is looking into it as we speak.
Or maybe, just maybe, the people installing the bleachers are doing a great job and the installation is right on schedule.I bet they are all in the interior.
