JTS construction webcam?

We were in Des Moines this past week for my daughter's national championships softball tournament. Her team got eliminated Friday so we took a pilgrimage up to Ames yesterday and I showed her around campus. The stadium looks so incredible now. And the new sports facility with track and softball is great! It is definitely a good time to be a Cyclone.

UNI wasn't intimidated by us in recent years. They will be now.

Why would they be intimidated now?! They've been every bit our equal on the field over the past decade (if not better than us), so I doubt a few new seats will faze them when you consider they've gone into tougher places to play and been competitive (see Wisconsin @ Camp Randall).

Surely you jest sir. They play Jump Around. We play Sweet Caroline. And you think their place is more intimidating?

How about a photo of some porta-potties....

Can somebody take a nice shot from the road up by Hilton and Stephens? All I have are crummy ones I took on my phone. I love the different feel that you get from that view.

On the SW corner of the stadium you can see there is access under the sidewalk. Does anyone know what that is for exactly? Extra storage areas?

I think it is a media bay. And/or a loading dock.

I tried to get some decent photos over lunch, but they are somewhat potato quality.

On Brinson and Condon's radio show last week, Alex Halsted mentioned that they had music on the speakers and that there was an echo in the stadium he had never heard before. Should be interesting to see how much of a difference the new enclosure will have on crowd noise.

Oh, it will have a huge impact on the sound levels in there. Does anyone know if they're planning to have a sound system in the SEZ too, or if they plan to stick with the one in the north? If they're only going to have one, I would think it would be better to move it to the SEZ so the sound from the system just leaves instead of bounces back and creates a huge echo.

But crowd noise, that will DEFINITELY be louder.

Or how many minutes it will take before someone old sends an email to jamie complaining about it.

I bet it happens before the first kickoff.
