So close to being a solid team.

How many times did those ranked teams not finish ranked? Road wins? How about we talk about our home record then.

Bowl games? Well you cant really compare to past eras when past eras had far fewer bowls..

I mean im not even sure im on the fire rhoads wagon yet. But some of you that pretend he's been great here are living in a fantasy land.

You our can work towards it but until it happens you can't expect it.

Look ok rhoads doesn't have forever but you guys acting like he has done nothing good over 6 years is beyond stupid.

Is it stupider than objectively looking at the metrics and eye test and seeing less than mediocrity?

Rhoads has beat 4 ranked teams, 2 of which failed to make a bowl game and ended up winning 5 games. I don't know why when Rhoads shortcomings get brought up it turns into a wiener measuring contest with McCarney. Guess what? McCarney ended up getting forced out of here anyways. After October of 2002, his career was full of disappointment.

This is a business that only exists in the current. You can cling to beating Oklahoma State all you want, but that was 3 years ago, it's time to get over it and see the program for what it is at this exact moment in time.

You're a clown. Ok you win, if we lose out or win 1 more game and then go 3-9 next year, let's give another extension. Anybody who isn't satisfied with that isn't a true fan. I mean we're Iowa State after all, right?

What makes you think I keep a Rolodex sitting around with coaching candidates listed? I don't have a damn clue, it's not my job to know nor am I interested in speculating with you.

I'm an Iowa State fan because I am from Iowa and went to Iowa State. Not because we are bad at football.

I would like to be good at football.
