We called a damn good game tonight. Just a damn tough conference. If we were in the big 10 right now we'd be talking about giving Rhoads an extension and a raise.
Since when is 3 bowl games in 6 years unacceptable at Iowa state?

It's a tad more difficult reaching the NCAA Tournament than going 6-6 and playing and losing in the Pinstripe or Liberty Bowl.
Not that I'm defending McDermott...I knew his hire was a huge mistake from the start but you're out and out defense of CPR no matter wins and losses has you grasping at the most foolish of straws
The season? That was the beginning of the end of CPR. The "wait until 2015" club are blind with hope that can only be cured with a Brackins returns and we miss the postseason type year.
Rhoads is a lot like McD in the sense that a few things go differently and maybe it works out. Just too many critical errors early in his tenure. If Mangino leaves and Wally retires in the next two years, we are looking at 3 or 4 years of this ****.

Come bowl season we will probably find out that the Big 12 isn't as great as everyone thinks like most years. Solid conference, but not this amazing world beater conference either.

No it's not. Not even close. Also Iowa state had more tradition in bb. Lots more. And again Rhoda's has 3 good seasons by Iowa state fb standards. McDermott 0 good seasons by Iowa state bb standards.
Why do you have to qualify success with "at Iowa State"? Why do you think Iowa State has to settle for a lower bar than everyone else? That mentality is used on here constantly and it's just so pathetic.

No, those that want him fired this year are blind if they really can't see the progress this team is making. Lots of good talent will be back next year and they clearly want to win for Rhoads.
