Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

That is fair, but also there is a difference between showing up in August and showing up in January. August, you still practice all of fall leading up to the season. January you are coming from HS to College, in the middle of the season, with no idea how the team plays together/runs its sets/ practices. There is a big difference in their arrival date. Now if he had shown up a few days before the bball season started, that would be a better argument.

Again, not the same but similar.

You cant be serious.

Im out on this subject, all I will say is as of today our best win was on a neutral court against a fringe NIT team, and a home win over an 7-9 range seed in Texas Tech. Yeah, we played well and have 3 losses to teams that will probably end up in the 1-4 seed range come tourney time but the problem is we lost to all of them.

Plenty of opportunities in the next 2 or 3 weeks against ranked teams, so we'll see how our resume looks at that point in time. If we lose a game on the road to either TCU or Vandy and get swept by Kansas and West Virginia we are in deep trouble.
we have 1 bad loss. You see teams get in with 4 bad losses in recent past. Where do the other 3 BAD losses come from?

Glad to see the Hawks won last night. I imagine I'm in the minority with some of you who hate the Hawks at all cost; their win helps our RPI though.

Heck, if the Hawks didn't have that stinker of a loss to Omaha at home, they'd be a bubble team right now.

@CyTwins used this exact reasoning last year when Moss redshirted and Ellingson played. Saying Fran would be an idiot for keeping a more talented player on the bench when the Iowa backcourt could have used him last year.

Moss showed up literally a couple days before classes last fall and was not ready to play.
Last year as in during basketball season last year?

So you are on a CYCLONE blog, going at one of our members for some flippant remark he made about the IOWA basketball team during the season 1 freaking year ago? Dude...that's...I'm not sure what to call it. Mad obsession? Whatever it is, it certainly isn't healthy.

Ya I don't mind hok posters here it's when they get like this and think we are beholden to them and they somehow have the right to hold us accountable on our own website is pur hok fantasy living but a pretty standard mindset from the tvaernhoks that I know as well.

Again, if you would read the thread instead of just posting gibberish you would see I said possible is the wrong word to use, ideal would have been a better choice.

2 kids age 5 and under, full time job, a regularly scheduled community group through our church that we have on Thursdays, and a 5 hour round trip does not make it an ideal trip for me.

Keep being obtuse as possible though.

If you spent up all the time you wasted posting on a rival site's message being productive, you could probably go watch your team play from time to time. You keep doing you though, it's more entertaining for us and CW appreciates the clicks.

When Jok shoots and scores the way he did last night, Iowa is going to win games. If Jok would have had an off night last night, Iowa wouldn't have won. He is there offensive fire power. As he goes..Iowa goes.

You cant be serious. Was it their 2 conference wins over the 2 worst Big 12 teams or the huge non-conference wins over powerhouses UNLV or Washington that lead you to that conclusion?

You must not know anything about TCU this year. 32nd on Ken Pom 33rd Sagarin, RPI of 32 (all way better than Iowa). Only lost to KU by 6 and played WVU way better on the road than Baylor. They have turned the ball over a lot bc of a couple of their younger players but other than that have played pretty well. They could be a tourney team this year.

In fact right now, If I had to guess the Big 12 will get KU, Kstate, WVU, Baylor, Tech, ISU and TCU in the tournament.

Funny that that dumbest person here is a Cyclone fan that knows nothing about TCU and thinks he knows something about Iowa
