Haha I suppose I can give you that. At times I wish he'd jump in on a side and pile on. I don't like drama in my life, but I love watching/listening to others go at it.

It may be just the times I listen, but I always get the feeling he just agrees with the guy sitting next to him on major issues to not create waves.

There were MANY national media covering the conference realignment in the same manner. At that point, EVERYBODY was talking about it, and there wasn't much that Miller could say that was going to make it any worse. But what he does in regard to the personal rumors is more along the lines of "nipping it in the bud". I will grant you that it's not necessarily the most principled way to handle things (talking about it because no more damage could be done).

And the Big 12 is not very stable. That's a fact. Any conference that Texas is a part of will live under their thumb, and eventually resentment mounts (see: Nebraska/CU leaving)

Only in the eyes of those who would derive pleasure from watching it fall. Where's Texas going? Pac-10? Bridge burned. SEC? Yeah ******* right. Big 10? No more Longhorn Network. Independent? WHY? There's no logical reason for it. especially with the likelihood that the BCS continues as is.

Still, some sites aren't going to "stand up" by not coming on the show, and will just get irritated and think that rebutting something for 5 or 10 minutes compensates for the other hours of the show they aren't there.

When he said he was not a member of the media he meant that he was just a shock jock and not a reporter. That is what I read into it. i don't think he meant that he did not have crudentials.
