ISU @ Colorado Postgame

They want to cut game times down, but do not want to lose commercial time....so they have to changed the clock rules in the game.

Are you serious? You know why they are playing? Because there are no juniors and seniors that can beat them out... Whys that? We have guys STARTING that have been in the program for what, 4 months? Lets give them some time to develop, ONE spring and ONE year to work out with the S&C program and see what happens... Colorado was pressing our receivers all day, why? Beacuase they aren't strong enough to shed.. One year in the program and that will greatly improve...

I am serious...and I hope that you are ultimately correct. I just don't see it yet.

Funny, Walden called me and said the option NEVER wins games...Although Switzer and Osborne were in the background laughing at him for some reason.

Props to AA for being tough and staying in the game. After we didn't get the ball snaped and got the flag, AA goes and runs through the hole and get a helmet righ on his right arm and ribs. I thought he was coming out but he really sucked it up and stayed in. Tough kid.

Wouldn't it be just like ISU-luck that AA gets hurt and we have to pull the Redshirt off Tiller for the last two games of the season??:chatterbox:

They wont, not with two games left. There has to be SOMEONE on the team capable of taking the snaps for two games. :chatterbox:

Lets play hypotheticals here...

With the spread offenses that the Big12 is lighting up the scoreboards with, can a Tampa Cover-2 defense with GREAT players succeed ?

IMHO, the defense and coaching lost this game. First of all get the basics right...TACKLE! On at least 3 plays, 2 guys were covering a Colorado receiver while another was running wide open. Can we get lucky just ONCE and stop someone on 4th down ?

There were some positives today
1) We ran a running back screen and it WORKED
2) Colorado's field goal kicking is worse than even Iowa State's since Tony Yelk graduated. That should have been good for a few laughs...
3) A pretty good display by A-Rob, Scales, and AA. AA showed some real stones when he stayed in the game after taking that shot to the ribs on a nonplay

Good bye Wayne Bolt

Absolutely. The decision not to pressure Hawkins on 2 consecutives drives was terrible. I thought the team played as well as it could given the experience and talent we have have. The coaches let them down. Today our kids deserved a better coaching effort than what they got. Terrible, just terrible.

Agree pretty much all around.

I'm not upset with our O 1/10 as much as I am about our D.

Has anyone mentioned the classic "fade" pass call after our timeout from the five, or by the way did you see Austin pleading for the coach to give him a play....any play.

There's not much Bolt can do when the offense is running hurry up. I don't blame him, I just think it was good strategy on CU's part.

There are a lot of drawbacks when you hire a def coordinator as a first time head coach. Takes time to assemble a staff and get on the same page and it takes longer for him to learn how to do game day coaching. If GC works out great but if not we should try hiring a head coach rather than another coordinator.

There was no DECISION, we blitzed nearly every play... Not sure what you were watching...
