hawk fb program headed to the bottom

I thought you said several times before you prefer to hold judgment until you see a player get some time in, like with CJB. But you've seen enough of Wiegers to know that he's worse than Rudock?

I think Rudock is better than Wiegers, I would think most Hawkeye fans would agree

People used to think dinosaurs were reptiles.. because they didn't know better.

There has never been any confusion about the 2014 NCAA Basketball Tournament nomenclature however. That's because the NCAA-- the definitive source for their own tournament-- called it the first round in 2014. It was the First Round, and centuries from now, nobody is going to dig up evidence that shows it was called something else.

This is quickly reaching "Who you crappin'?" territory. It was a terribad analogy and you should feel terribad.

Well that's brilliant. I'll await your pending evidence/proof that Iowa in fact did not play in the first round in 2014. And I'm hoping for something with a little more oomph than "CyTwins said so".

So, I have to know whether you two scholars saw this post...

Any day that I can whip some hok fans (and a few sympathizers) into a semantic frenzy about their 2014 play-in game loss is a good day for me

...before continuing your impassioned defense of Iowa's 2014 play-in game loss, or whether you missed it because it took you more than 3-4 minutes to type your rebuttals?

But I'm asking you. Is it just a gut feeling? What are you basing your judgment of the talent of a RS FR backup QB who has thrown 2 passes (both completed) and has a 142 QB rating on the year? Not just that but he was higher rated than Rudock out of HS.

I'd like to know what you're basing this off of, since you make it sound like it's very obvious.

Me perfect sense
Toledo > Pitt
UNI >/= North Texas/ Ill. ST
Iowa=ISU

I have a hard time seeing Toledo being better than Pitt. I honestly dont think Toledo is that good. Yes, they beat Arkansas, but Arkansas pretty much whooped them in every statistical category but the score board. And Arkansas has been showing themselves to not be that good of a team. Toledo also didnt play that hot against you guys. You guys just made some bad mistakes at the wrong time.

Also, if we are going off of rankings, Ill state is better than UNI. They actually play each other next week. Will be a big game.

And I dont know how you can say ISU is equal to Iowa. We literally beat you, on the road.

Also, I just saw your post about Iowa only being better at QB, and OL. Your username is very fitting.

I would take Iowas QB, Oline, TEs, LBs, and Corners over ISUs.

Ill give you WR (though they havnt played like it), and probably your safeties.

Last edit: Heres how I would rank everyone.

Pitt=Toledo
ILL st=UNI (even though ILL st. has been ranked higher, and expected to be better)
No Texas< anybody else on your schedule
Iowa > ISU

Hawk fans say CJB was the reason you beat ISU but now Iowa is better at pretty much every other position? That doesn't really add up

I'm talking about on the season as a whole. And I didn't say Iowa is better at pretty much every position.

That's where you just go "scoreboard". After all, we've heard it many times here.

I know absolutely nothing about him. I've heard enough Hawkeye fans say if CJB got hurt they'd be screwed so I don't think I'm crazy to think Rudock is better. I mean do you think Wiegers is better than Rudock or something? I guess I don't see the point arguing it

ISU's corners absolutely are

I'm not sure ISU has TE's so Iowa FTW i guess

Haha, even your coordinator referred to King and Mabin as NFL corners. ... Since ISU doesn't put players in the NFL we can assume yours are not 'NFL corners'. King will be first team BIG if he keeps playing the way he has.

Also, since nobody in the B12 plays defense we can just assume Iowa has the advantage everywhere on that side of the ball.

You brought up that Rudock is better and are basing it in a manner that is completely against everything you said regarding CJB. So I'm trying to figure out the difference and how you know more about Wiegers than I apparently do. And you might -- but I'm curious to know how/what that is.

Some more of that patented Dan football analysis, top notch as always.

Why are we arguing this? Nobody knows anything about Wiegers, (other than he was a 4* QB out of HS) so everyone would be talking out of their a**.
A lot of people on here made fun of Iowa fans optimism in their backup QB last year, and they're all eating crow. So as much as ISU fans didn't know what they were talking about with CJ before, Iowa and ISU fans alike have no idea what they're talking about when bringing up Wiegers.

I agree, I have no idea how Wiegers would perform. A RS FR QB very easily can have some costly mistakes. Maybe he doesn't, and/or maybe the gameplan is adjusted to account for this. This is completely a "what if" game. So is assuming that Rudock would have not been able to lead Iowa to a win.

The only thing I can say about Wiegers is that he hasn't performed to a level on and off the game field that makes the coaching staff feel they need to replace CJB with him. If anyone can make any other judgments or assumptions beyond that, I'd like to know what they are.
