I have read all these posts and others. I still come up with some basic stuff. This team looks like it never practice, They haven't gotten any better all year. Take last night 19 turnovers. Poor passing, hands of stone and can't make free throws, You watch them play and other teams do pick and rolls and get the ball inside and normally score. If we don't shoot the first 10-15 seconds we turn the ball over. I thought Lard would be better than McKay. But, he has even bigger head problems. Several more head cases on this team. Defense is just something to talk about. We couldn't guard anyone if our life depended on it. I don't know how many times the other team has wide open threes. Every one of our threes are somewhat guarded. We have troubles just passing the ball around the outside without it getting batted away. Or is this the problem of having small guards. Talley does the best job of moving the ball and driving for a man his size. Our starting guards seem to fall down or lose the ball when they try dribbling around to get a shot. If you are small you better be able to move with the ball and dribble. I see where we offered another guard that is 6' 1". Give me guards that are 6'3" or bigger. I know Wigg can jump but so can a lot of players. Even Lazarrd had a 38 inch vertical. Bottom line this team lacks basic skills, can't run offensive plays or play defense. Not a whole lot that they do well for 40 minutes. Sure we have had a lot of injuries. But, basic knowledge or basketball IQ isn't there for most. Brase seemed to have the most IQ. When he was in there things seemed to be a little more calm or under control. Too bad he was hurt before he got here. Put Brase head on Lard and you would have something.
