And Talley. He’s very effective in getting to the paint and could really set up Wigginton to attack off kickout passes. If we don’t sign anyone else, let those guys do the passing.Part of it will be solved by having more threats around him, and other guys that can break down the defense, plus NWB to take the reins much of the time.
But it’s in the execution. How can we use NWB and Talley to free up Wigginton to be more efficient, but also satisfy that Wigginton needs the ball to be effective?
Wigginton has a usage of 29%, which is higher than any recent Cyclone, but consistent with how Prohm has used Cannan and Payne. Shayok and THT are also guys that need volume.
It’s good to remember that in 2013-14 we shot 31% on 3Ps in conference play- with two freshman, two sophomores (one that played 17 minutes as a freshmam), a juco, and a grad transfer previously known for being inefficient. I hope we see more of spreading out the floor out with Talay at the four or five and make the game a track meet.
