Big 12 Embarrassing

The Big XII has looked fine so far. The ACC has been dismantled outside of Clemson. The Pac-12 has been pretty bad with UCLA losing to the bugeaters at 5-7. We only had one or two teams favored and one of those was the pansies from OU. Ooops another Clemson spin and an OU defender falls flat on their face. Just did not look like they wanted to play yesterday.
CPR didn't lose a bowl game his last three years here. I assume he has that listed on his resume.
The thing that sucks the most about this, TCU and Ohio State were the two best teams in the country last year I think, and only one of them could get into the playoff. This year was more self explanatory, but I'm sure we'll see more years where teams in the top 8 are a total toss up more so then not.
The Big 12 needs Texas to start performing, and personally I think they need to expand again so they can get a championship game leaving no debate. The Big 12 almost did themselves in again with that back ended schedule.
Could have been first game kinks to work out, or the fact that TCU was missing 4 of their best defensive starters due to injuries or suspensions. Then as their defense got healthier during the year, Boyken gets hurt. And now the genius spoiled what could have been one of the best bowl match-ups against Oregon (who beat Stanford late in the year).
Agree. I don't think the round robin schedule does the conference any favors when it gets to bowl games, and like it or not, everybody likes to compare conferences during the bowl season. We've had a couple of bad years lately but still overall a pretty decent bowl record the last 10 years in which we're 15-5 against the Big 10. I agree with those that said OU was not really our best team this year, that loss to Texas just can't be excused. Had they played Baylor and TCU with their qb's I doubt they win.
Oh please - our offense - yes ISU's - put up 450 yards against that TCU defense. They're not that good...
And put up a whopping 21 points with a lot of possessions. I said their D got better as the year went on as they got healthier. Except for KU, their schedule was backloaded against the Big 12's top offenses and they were holding those teams way below their average.
Last time I checked you still can't spell Rhoads. Total loss of credibility. Major fail.
Shouldn't you be in the cave calling those that have a different point of view names?

I think the Big 12 lacks great teams, a team or two at the top that can play with anyone. Baylor might have been that team with Russell. But Oklahoma lost to Texas and beat the 2 best teams on their schedule when each was missing their QB. Conference is very good in the middle but image gets brought down by the teams at the top. Plus reputation of poor defense, whether deserved or not.
My original post wasn't intended to turn this into a Big10/Big12 arguement the guys with nothing better to do that run their mouths about troll talk took it there. Thanks for sharing the records for last 10 years though that's pretty cool to see how each conference stands.
The Big 12 really got hurt with injuries two elite qbs to there best teams. That is hard to overcome. Baylor was very impressive in the way it adapted to the situation.
Then you can see your way out of this thread. Some people enjoy following success of the conference when ISU isn't playing.
