Last I checked we fired Rhoades because he couldn't get us into bowls, not because he couldn't win bowl games.
Yup, hard to get into a bowl game when you only average 2 wins a year.

TCU may not have won it all last year, but they'd have played better than OU did. They were really on a tear last season and finished the year with the least blemished record.
Still the Pac 12 hasn't exactly lit the world on fire so hard to argue OU was a bad choice for #4.
Yeah, that "injury free" TCU team looked so good in their 23-17 win over that juggernaut Minnesota team to start the year...
The thing that sucks the most about this, TCU and Ohio State were the two best teams in the country last year I think, and only one of them could get into the playoff. This year was more self explanatory, but I'm sure we'll see more years where teams in the top 8 are a total toss up more so then not.
The Big 12 needs Texas to start performing, and personally I think they need to expand again so they can get a championship game leaving no debate. The Big 12 almost did themselves in again with that back ended schedule.
Oh please - our offense - yes ISU's - put up 450 yards against that TCU defense. They're not that good...Could have been first game kinks to work out, or the fact that TCU was missing 4 of their best defensive starters due to injuries or suspensions. Then as their defense got healthier during the year, Boyken gets hurt. And now the genius spoiled what could have been one of the best bowl match-ups against Oregon (who beat Stanford late in the year).

Why does it matter who wins more bowl games? Until ISU gets left out of the top four, I don't care.
