Big 12 Embarrassing

you're embarrassing.

Once again the Big 12 getting completely embarrassed this Bowl season. Year after year this seems to be the case.

And no this isn't a troll job, it's just annoying that it happens year after year. It gives little credibility to the conference. The most frustrating part is what's Iowa State's excuse for sucking so bad during conference play against teams that really aren't that good on a national level. As much as I couldn't stand Paul Rhoads being the coach there's no way he was solely to blame.

Baylor actually rep'd the league very will beating the #10 team with basically their 2nd and 3rd string offense and practically no QB depth. Some other games yet to be played.

OU obviously, and not shockingly, disappointed.[/QUOTE]

That is the par for the course. OU seems to have a lot of trouble winning the big games, can't seal the deal so to speak.

Paul Rhoads was awesome; he just couldn't beat all the big 12 teams that sucked. Right?

I think most of us can agree that either Baylor or TCU would have been Big 12 Champions if not for QB injuries. Oklahoma was really good, but not the greatest.

So is the Hawk troll done after the Big Ten champ went out 38-zip? Or are we still supposed to have a melt down over the lower seeded Big 12 team having a significantly closer game with the #1 seed?

I would just say neither the Big 10 or Big 12 played BIG. Since I'm now also a Big 12 fan, I am a double loser today. Campbell better win next season or I could become very grouchy

Facts are the big 12 has done poorly in recruiting. Clemson, bama, Ohio state Florida state have had top 5 class after class after class. The difference is in the dline and who controls, the line of scrimmage. Clemson has always had plenty of talent they have just been soft in big games. Today they put it all together. At the end of the day their is a big talent gap from the top recruiting classes to the big 12. Stars and studs do matter when teams can win it all. The big 12 last title was Texas and that team had so many first rounders on it.

It doesnt help that baylor and TCU, the preseason 1 and 2 teams in the big 12 were hurt with key injuries. Baylor at 100% probably represents the big 12 much better (hell, even decimated they represented the big 12 pretty damn well this year).

Oklahoma is usually fairly disappointing in bowl season.

Then Tech got a 3 loss LSU team as its matchup (only 8-3 because their mcneese st game got cancelled). Not a very even match.

It could be worse, ask Michigan State

And I was at the Cotton Bowl last night...MSU fans were horrible. We were a group of 11, most of whom were Bama fans in the party pass (SRO) section right behind the MSU fans (30.00 tix compared to their 195.00 tix to stand five feet behind them lol). The Bama fans were friendly, saying happy new year, good luck, etc etc etc...the MSU fans started the night off by flipping us off and telling us to F off...great way to start it off...their biggest cheer was "First down MSU bitc**s" (female dogs if it gets censored). End of the game a friend of mine went to tell one MSU fan that we'd drank with earlier happy new year and all that and the guy snaps...gets in his face "now you want to talk s*** to me? now? you really wanna now?" At the end of it all I'd had enough...finally just told one of the fans "at least we would have gotten bad fans and a good game probably if Iowa had made it"...that didn't go over very well lol

To end it...I went to the game cheering for MSU and their fanbase quickly turned me into a Bama fan. It really made me appreciate ISU fans more. Don't get me wrong, I've seen some bad ISU fans, but not in the numbers I saw last night...MSU fans were a disgrace to their conference.

Against my better judgement, I'll bite...

If the problem wasn't Rhoads, what do YOU think it was?

I blame the problem on tooo darned many times in the conference from the State of Texas and spreading the talent way tooo thin.

Also Our Bowl tie ins do not favor teams from the Midwest or from OkieVille evidently...........

At least we did NOT get SHUT OUT like Michigan State and the B1G.....The Sparties got completely Run Over and Over Powered.....

The difference between winning and losing is in the Def Lineman where Bama's are both Huge and Athletic and that's just a dead combination....they say these things run in cycles and lets hope they are right...the socalled experts

Go Cyclones and Go Big XII

I AGREE either Baylor or TCU would have represented the big xii better than OkieVille, Bob Stoops is the second coming of Hayden Fry in Losing Big in Big games............Like Mentor Like Son as they say or its a Rotten Limb off of a Dying Tree as they say.....lol
