What record does Kirk need to hit 60%? Also, he wants no part of the new scheduleI honestly think this is the last year of the Ferentz era. I think Brian and Kirk want to hit that point mark not to save Brian's job, but to flip off everyone on their way out.
I hope that you are right.I honestly think this is the last year of the Ferentz era. I think Brian and Kirk want to hit that point mark not to save Brian's job, but to flip off everyone on their way out.
Iowa will not make a Big 10 Championship for the rest of it's current existence now that the conference is like this.Yes, little man syndrome is what it is.
But how will Iowa get their seven home games every year with 10 conference games?
With 2 buy games a year, I guess. So long CyHawk … hello NIU, USU, SDSU, Wyoming (wait, not Wyoming, they look pretty good), Tennessee Tech, etc
Keep saying this even though history doesn't agree with your take.Let me slow it down for you, what was said before is that Iowa (in a 9 conf game set up and the cyhawk game ended) would either get 2 cupcakes and a decent program or 3 cupcakes. Kirk's gonna the sh*t out of cupcakes in that scenario 10 out of 10 times.
To be fair, history really does not matter in these new circumstances.Keep saying this even though history doesn't agree with your take.
Slow me when Iowa had 9 conference games and played two P5s for non conKeep saying this even though history doesn't agree with your take.
Maybe and Maybe not. What I do know is that when Iowa had four non-conference games they played two of them against P5 teams in home and away games. I would think if the Iowa/ISU game ever got dropped (it probably won't), Iowa would schedule home and aways with another similar team.To be fair, history really does not matter in these new circumstances.
Should have added, I think they'll flip everyone off on their way out even if they don't hit the point total. They're clearly pissed and this season just feels like a farewell/be careful what you wish for tour. Could be wrong, but this season just feels different for some reason.I hope that you are right.
Your AD and city need the money so you’d just do another buy game.Maybe and Maybe not. What I do know is that when Iowa had four non-conference games they played two of them against P5 teams in home and away games. I would think if the Iowa/ISU game ever got dropped (it probably won't), Iowa would schedule home and aways with another similar team.
They haven't, but when they had four non-conference games they almost always played two P5s in non-conference. If they had three non-con games and no ISU, I would feel confident saying they would find a similar type P5 team to play home and away with.Slow me when Iowa had 9 conference games and played two P5s for non con
I'm sorry if I missed it, but are you talking about having 10 games in this scenario? Because Iowa is not scheduling a P5 school if they are playing 10 conference games.Maybe and Maybe not. I agree. I think Iowa always wants 7 home games no matter how the schedule shakes out in the future. If they do 10 conference games with five at home then they will have two home games for non-conference. If they stay at 9, then they will alternate between three and two home games whether that is ISU or another similar P5 type team in the non-conference. It is that simple.I'm sorry if I missed it, but are you talking about having 10 games in this scenario? Because Iowa is not scheduling a P5 school if they are playing 10 conference games.
It's a horrible week. Even the week after, if we lost, isn't as bad as the week before the game.Whelp, after glancing through this thread I'm already sick of Cy-Hawk week.
I do agree with you. I don't think the ISU-Iowa game is going anywhere though. The amount of $ it brings to the state and the respective towns is huge.I agree.
