2023 CyHawk

Depends on how the Big 10 does scheduling going forward. If they do 10 conference games, then I'm fine with two lesser programs. If they stay at 9 games and Iowa and ISU drop the series, then I'm confident Iowa would be able to find more P5 (or whatever it will be called going forward) teams to play home and homes with.
I agree they would find them, wouldn’t play them, but could find them.

They have to have seven home games a year is the most amazing excuse in the world. First it was because they needed the money, then it became to help the area businesses that "need" those games to stay open.

The real reason is very simple, having those extra purchased games at home means 2 more wins per year. EIU has mastered the art of playing one or two lower ranked teams of year, beating the hell out of buy in games, the pillow soft west teams and then getting 8 to 10 wins. They schedule like a lot of teams in the SEC, but at least SEC teams are not saying they are forced too to keep the door open, like EIU does.

IOWA the Fake ID of college football is correct.
Impact is double digit millions of dollars per weekend coming into Johnson County. Hotels are full. Restaurants and bars are packed.

No chance in hell does Iowa find a decent team to play in place of ISU. They would be more likely to play Southern Missouri Technical State College of Geriatric Medicine than another P4 (or even a decent G5).
Or UNI or North Dakota, all P5 schools do this you know.

Let me slow it down for you, what was said before is that Iowa (in a 9 conf game set up and the cyhawk game ended) would either get 2 cupcakes and a decent program or 3 cupcakes. Kirk's gonna the sh*t out of cupcakes in that scenario 10 out of 10 times.

You're right, when Iowa is in a P2 conference next year they will probably need the wins.

LOL. When I saw the Hawks scored 24 last Saturday I jokingly told a Hawk fan that they team was sending a message to Brian.

I honestly think this is the last year of the Ferentz era. I think Brian and Kirk want to hit that point mark not to save Brian's job, but to flip off everyone on their way out.
