2013 Recruit Prospects

I believe every school is recruiting him as a DB, but I may be incorrect. I know we are for a fact. He will more than likely play DB along with QB this year at Ankeny. He has ties to Nebraska, so it'll be interesting.
Funny, I thought that CW posted/blogged that we're recruiting him as a QB.
I go to school with him, and he personally told me that we are looking at him to play in the secondary as of right now. That may change but that's as of right now.

It's sounding like we are showing interest in Tyler kluver as a long snapper. He is going to demo his stuff for UNI, north Texas, us, and a few others. I've heard him say this in a class recently.

Lots more offers added on Rivals lately.

Saw this guy, one of the IWCC crowd. magine how he'd look on the end opposite Irving?

Oops! Okay, we haven't offered yet--but how did they have him, Morrissey, and the kid who signed with Iowa as a RB all playing end?

I've seen Lanning play 4-5 times and he played very little defense, and several were play-off games. He's probably a good enough athlete to have a shot at safety, and maybe he will play there a lot this year. But if he develops some touch on his shorter passes, I find it hard to believe somebody won't be wanting him as a qb as he's an excellent runner with a rocket arm. It will be interesting to see how he develops at qb and/or safety this year and where he ends up since we already have several good young qb's. I believe his Nebraska connection is that he had a brother play baseball there, and he's now in the minors. Probably still can't rule out baseball for Lanning.

He wants to play college football. Cotton visited Ankeny Tuesday to talk with him.

cyclone357- I'm going to throw up if Lanning ends up at Nebraska. But if he wants to make a career out of football, maybe his best shot is at safety, and maybe that would give us a better chance. Like I said, it will be interesting to see how he matures as a qb this year and how much Pezetti uses him at safety.

I hope isu is looking local for kickers. Valley has a punter that's supposed to be one of the top 10 in the nation and word is that he would love to play at isu. I don't have the link but his name is holden Kramer and especially recruiting had some good things to say about him. Of course valley never punts so that may be an issue.
