2013 Recruit Prospects

Colin Sutton – three-star prospect from Orange, California. Rated as No. 43 guard prospect nationally
Class of 2013, Committed to other teams:
Chris Fox – four-star prospect from Parker, Colorado. Considered the No. 57 player nationally; likely to be rated as the No. 1 player out of the state of Colorado for the Class of 2013. Committed to Michigan.
Sean Dowling – three-star prospect from California. Considered the No. 30 offensive guard nationally. Committed to UCLA.

Colorado coaches can be forgiven for not bringing in a significant haul with the Class of 2011, coming to Boulder with little time to assemble a class. The concern came about this past February, when there were a number of quality offensive linemen available, particularly out of the state of Colorado. Four of the top five recruits out of the Buffs’ home state were offensive linemen. The Buffs were poised to sign the largest recruiting Class since 1978.
And of the four four-star in-state prospects, the Buffs signed … none of them.
Will the same hold true for the Class of 2013?
The Buff Nation certainly hopes not. It is being assumed that, even in a small signing Class of 16-18 players, that 5-7 will be offensive linemen.

I must be missing something.

It sounds like the cyclones had one (only?) summer camp last weekend. Has anyone heard anything on how it went, who was there, etc.

Don't get to hear much scuttlebutt about these things in SF. Thanks!

Also I notice the cyclones are looking to "Sam Richardson" again this year. Recruiting a kid from Des Moines and one from Bradenton FL both named Trevon Young. I see an Iowa State themed double mint gum commercial if they land both.

I did more than I thought he would Mississippi state. If manatee us truly a pipeline them we need to get the stars too.

The SEC is a more local conference, produces top notch players, and Dan Mullen is a proven recruiter. We are going to have to win 8-9 games to start really competing for Sandberg level recruits.
