Imagine the TV coverage if we finally had a monkey humping a football. Best idea I've seen for several days.

Imagine if we could get John Madden to do a game for us...

(circles monkey humping football)

That is...uhhhh...wellll....

(circles it again)

It's a...boom!

(circles it 20 more times for emphasis)

That is...ummm...well that right there is a monkey humping a football.

And that's what that's all about.

As of right now, my choices for head coach would be Gill #1, due largely to the national attention it would draw, but mostly because apparently the guy can flat out coach. My #2 choice would be Pat Hill from Fresno State. A darkhorse candidate might be Skip Holtz from East Carolina. Ive heard he has family ties to the Ames area and apparently he also learned a few things about winning games with wins over West Virginia and Virginia Tech this year. As long as he didn't learn how to put a program under NCAA probation like his dad did, I think he'd be a great hire.

Holtz would be good too then we could always be picked to win every week by Lou and have him spit every time he said I-State....at least it would be exposure

I understand why people would like Skip Holtz but man, I honestly don't think I can stomach Lou cheering for us...Lordy I hate that little leperachaun that lies....

Interesting take on our head coach candidates:

Atomic Teeth » Blog Archive » Cyclones Burned. Or not.

A mostly complimentary, comical look.

Thanks. I wrote that from the heart (and kidding about UNI - I actually watched that game this past weekend and became infatuated with the concept of the UNIDome.)

A lot of good names being thrown around here.

I read here that someone on ESPN is suggesting that the move from Buffalo to Ames is lateral? That is a joke. The only non-BCS jobs that might be remotely as attractive as ISU are maybe TCU (great recruting, Mountain West), BYU (great tradition, Mountain West), and ... that's probably it. If K State can go on a ten year run like it did, ISU can. If a non-BCS school does that it's interesting. If a BCS school does that it's legitimate greatness. Coaches worth their salt want that shot.

And, really, to say Buffalo is lateral? That's an embarrassing statement.
