Joe Burrow and Others purchasing Iowa Farm Land

Just saw this on twitter thought I would throw it out there. I don't live in Iowa anymore is $48k an acre a realistic price?

And for any farmers is a single digit return realistic here? A $5m purchase at 1% is a $50k per year return. Thats a hell of a return I would think on 104 acres of land. I guess maybe they will take land appreciation into account as well??

I did the maths and Minnesota sports fans do not want to read this.

In light of the Vikings losing yesterday, and the last major professional championship coming in 1991 from the Twins, I did some basic math to determine how odd it is that not one of the four major teams has won in 31 years.

There are some assumptions built in here. I assume each team has the same chance to win the championship as any other team in the league that year. It would be a Herculean task to determine the probability of every team in every individual season in every league. So, if MLB had 30 teams, each of these years the Twins had 1/30 chance to win the World Series. (Even less if playing the Yankees in the playoffs!)

The same goes for the NFL, NHL, and NBA. I used the probability of each season and the number of teams in each league. So...

A Minnesota sports team had a 97.9% chance to win a championship since 1992. There was only a 2.1% chance no professional team for Minnesota would win a championship in that time frame.

Pain.

Who has been our best Tight End Coach?

I want to look at our Tight Ends over the years.

We have changed our Tight End coach almost every year, I believe.

We built a few successful years at Tight End, and have had a few really good ones.

I have a few questions for everyone to discuss and what to see what people think.

Who was our best Tight End Coach? Why?

Was our Tight End success, Coaching, Development, Recruiting, or Player?

Have we regressed at Tight End? or Is it just that we lost our great ones and need to rebuild? recruit? redevelop? or changed game plan? or are we still great at Tight End?

This is just a discussion as looking over the coaching staff over the years it seems we have had a number of different coaches at that position, and we have had some success during the Campbell years there and I am interested in who people think have had the most impact on that position, and why.

And if people think we are in a good position moving forward? Whether that be in staff, players, recruits or recruiting?

I am not going to give an opinion up front because I honestly am not sure what I think. I know there is strong feelings on Manning one way or another, that being said he could be a bad OC, but a great position coach, as in when he coached TE or Line. But again, I don't know, I am just seeing what others think.
