Chris Williams sits down with Iowa State head football coach Matt Campbell to go in-depth on a variety of topics. From the new members of the coaching staff to player personnel and culture building, hear a more free side to Campbell than you are used to as the Cyclones are getting set to start sprin
Alright, it's that time of the year folks! For the 3rd year running we have the Iowa State transfer tracking thread. This always gets wild so this will be a bit of a master copy of all the rumored or known Otzelberger and staff interests. First for some necessary info to handle:
Note: Players who are eligible for the COVID-19 year are removed from the chart unless Iowa State has previously noted how many years they’re expected to be with the program.

Please give us refs who do not impact the outcome of the game! This conference is too close and too good for one-sided calls. If one team is in the bonus and the other team has two fouls you are not doing your profession justice!
That's all I have to say about that.
Didn't see it elsewhere. Feel like a walking taco might have been better for us, although hard to argue with a pork tenderloin being a good pick.
Have to admit, "wabash cannondog" is a great name.
The Big 12 and Levy Restaurants will be introducing #Big12Eats at T-Mobile Center this year, a foodie-focused menu of items that will satisfy the palate of fans from every team. This menu will feature 10 school-specific food items, including The Baylor Float (Vanilla ice cream and Dr Pepper), Cyclones Tenderloin (Kaiser bun, breaded pork tenderloin, sliced onion, sweet and spicy pickles), Jayhawks Mac & Cheese (pasta and creamy white cheese sauce, topped with house-smoked pulled pork, Levy signature BBQ sauce, and crispy fried onions), K-State’s Wabash Cannondog (Bacon wrapped jumbo hot dog topped with Wildcat Purple relish), Stormin’ from Norman Oklahoma Taco (Frybread topped with ground beef, shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, beans, onions, and chili), Pistol Pete’s OSU Fried Corn (Elote-style bacon-fried corn topped with crushed Doritos), TCU Loaded Tots (tater tots, spicy queso sauce, chopped house smoked brisket, pico de gallo, topped with Horned Frog Purple sour cream), Longhorn Quesadilla (Triple cheese quesadilla, steak or chicken, with Burnt Orange salsa rojo sauce), Tech’s Masked Rider Burger (All beef patty, Cheddar, fried onion ring, sweet pickled jalapenos and Red Raiders BBQ sauce), and the West Virginia Mountaineer Roll (Sliced pepperoni and mozzarella cheese in a soft roll).
We shouldn't be delaying On That Note to Wednesday in the foreseeable future. So we're back now for a Tuesday edition of OTN. We're considering branding it: On That Note Classic.
This week we're looking at song titles, lyrics, or performer names that contain the word "Happen" or it's variations such as happened or happening. Also, to expand it a bit, we're allowing synonyms "Occur," "Transpire," "Develop," or "Materialize" and their variations as well.
So, Lipsey currently has 62 steals, which is 9 off the freshman single season record set by Hunter last year. Wouldn't it be poetic justice if he could beat that?
It will be tough without at least a couple of wins in the postseason. He averages about 2 a game, so with 4 games he could get there.
Didn't see any threads on this (remove this if so), but wanted to start a thread on the state tournament this week.
looks like Grandview is moving on past the first game.
Chris Williams & Brent Blum the sudden change in Iowa State's men's basketball program. After limping through the month of February, the Cyclones upset No. 7 Baylor on Saturday in Waco. What does it mean for the postseason? Plus, the guys discuss the greatness of Ashley Joens and more. Presented
SIAP but thought it was good enough it deserved its own thread. This is how you rally a team through adversity. Love TJ and can't wait to get to March Madness. With the recruiting classes we're lining up, things are looking good in Ames.
Do your kids have social media? If so what age are they and what do they have? What kind of parental controls have you put in place? What discussions and things have you looked into for it? I haven’t had Facebook, Snapchat, twitter, take your pick for over 7 years (and all I really had was Facebook). I have a 14 yr old daughter begging me for Snapchat and am Leary about letting her get it. Appreciate any input given the subject!
I'm considering getting 2 or 3 sets of season tickets (maybe more?) with the intent being to keep a 1-2 games per year to attend w/ my kids and selling off the rest (as long as I can break even I'm happy; it will also help me meet some credit card bonuses). I'd like to hear input from others who have done or do this sort of thing.
- What level do I need to go to? (probably the blue or green would be my top ability - see picture) for there to be a market?
- Which games bring in the best resale?
- Can you truly break even (or better) doing this?
- How hard is it to sell tickets on the resale market for 4 or so games per season?
- Any unseen drawbacks?
Pair of tickets in Section 221, Row 9. Posting for a friend who bought these on Stubhub and then found out he didn't need them. Cheapest ticket on Stubhub right now is $320 which ends up being $390 after fees. He paid over $450 with fees. Asking $300 each. DM if interested.
Edited to lower price to equal what they are posted for on Stubhub less the fees.
Last year, I moved to full time work from home and I'm starting to really miss my previous standing desk. Being that there are roughly 10,000 standing desk manufacturers, I'm not entirely sure who is good/bad. I'm not looking for anything special, just something sturdy and reliable. Any recommendations?
Normally as we approach March, teams start to widdle down to 7/8 main rotations. Given our inability to score consistently, and the importance put on our defensive intensity, do you think we should stick with playing everyone and subbing frequently like we did against Baylor? Keeps us higher energy and maybe gives us some relief from foul trouble?
