It can change. Whether it does or not is a question.

I don’t remember him being a big part of the offense until his senior year. He picked his spots rebounded like a mad man and got put backs. And was considered a glue guy this team is gluelessI remember when a young Melvin Ejim traveled or lost the basketball on what seemed to be half of his possessions as a freshman in Big 12 play.
He wound up Big 12 Player of the Year as a senior.
These guys are developing players, but I'll take my lumps with them.
I’m sure the G-League is excited to hear that.I remember when a young Melvin Ejim traveled or lost the basketball on what seemed to be half of his possessions as a freshman in Big 12 play.

THT put up the same amount of shots in just 19 min you wanna talk about high volume... Babb put up the same amount as Wigginton Shayok put up one more and Jacobson one less idk where people are trying to go with this.I’m sure the G-League is excited to hear that.
That’s an awful comparison. Melvin was a wallflower on a team that went 2-9 in close games and 16-16 overall, and was nearly replaced the next year. Wigginton is more akin to DG that year- a high volume guy that won’t be around past this season.
Not a Prohm-era problem exclusively. Seems it has plagued ISU teams dating back as far as McDermottDefense?
Seems to me you have a plan based upon history. But, when it’s not working you need to adjust. Not sure we are good at doing that. I suppose you are playing the percentages, but in game adjustments are necessary.

Prohm has them playing way too slow. This isn't a half court team. They don't have a low post scoring presence. They need to be running and pushing tempo. This is the slowest temp they have had since 2009. It is also why I think some of ISU's kenpom numbers are inflated. It tends to be more favorable to slower teams and while he has adjusted to counteract that over the years, I believe it still does to some extent.
Nick plays defense. Nick's offense has been MUCH better than Wigginton's this year. Nick is suffering from the dumb fan "doesn't sweat enough" problem. Weiler-Babb isn't doing anything that Prohm doesn't want him to do.
Much better 2nd half. Until bad breakdowns in the final couple minutes with both Conditt and LW getting beat off the dribbleThat may have happened against Baylor, but we defended very well against K State.
Two horrible shots at the end the last two games.
We all know Wigginton’s defense on the last play was terrible and one of the reasons why we lost.
I didn’t read the game thread so maybe it has been mentioned already but another costly defensive mistake in the game was Babb and Jacobson switching (when it didn’t need to be done) which led to Jacobson on Brown under 20 seconds left. Jacobson puts Brown on the line and he makes both. Maybe we get the win if Babb just stays on Brown and we get a stop.
I said “one of the reasons.”You are correct about Wigginton's defense on the last play being poor, but to suggest that a single failure in a 40 minute game is the reason for the loss just about as myopic and uninformed as it gets in this or any other game!
This. I love Nick, and he brings so much to the game, but his body language sometimes just isn't conducive to the game. Drives me nuts when he brings the ball up so slowly, dribbles at the top of the key forever, and then has to create something when the shot clock runs down.
I mean, it was pretty obvious Saturday that up-tempo, attacking basketball was what got us into the lead. Let the defense set up? Why? Run at them, make them get out of what they are comfortable with. NWB just didn't want that, he walked the ball up almost every time.
You are such a tool.I'm not giving up on him, but I am sick of people acting like he should be starting and playing 35 minutes. Honestly, his poor play was a major reason we lost today. Way more than some bad coaching. He just continually drove in there and fell down and missed shots. He rarely looks for his teammates. And I'm not convinced he is not a cancer in the locker room.
That was as directed, and Weber exploited it. A far less egregious mistake than playing matador, lazy on-ball defense.I didn’t read the game thread so maybe it has been mentioned already but another costly defensive mistake in the game was Babb and Jacobson switching (when it didn’t need to be done) which led to Jacobson on Brown under 20 seconds left. Since when is switching a 5 onto one of the best guards in the Big 12 directed? Both were costly mistakes. I don’t question you but I question that decision if it’s what Prohm wants. You should only switch 1-4 with how our lineup is constructed. Jacobson is never going to win the matchup against a guard. That was as directed, and Weber exploited it.
