The Fran fade

Is that right? Wow, I knew they have been down, but didn't realize it has been that long. That is shocking to me as a kid who grew up watching Indiana dominate the Big 10 every year.

Yeah I'm with you, I had no idea it had been that long.

I don't disagree with your resume argument but I think Illinois will be a much tougher out than wisconsin come tournament time. Illinois is going to be a tough matchup if you don't have a guy like Krutwig for Loyola. Many teams won't be able to match his physicality and he can put up 28 and 15 type games

Tallent wise yes. But overall similar ceiling. Maybe Illinois has a little higher ceiling with a much lower floor if you ask me.

Go thru MSU's sched. They've beaten one tourney team, and close to bubble at that (Indiana), in the last month. Last good win was exactly a month ago @ Sconnie.

So you're comparing that schedule to Iowa's which also isn't that great. Defense travels even with mediocre teams. Maybe MSU won't win but 7 seems like a lot.

Jordan has a point that what happened in yesterdays Michigan-Wisconsin game was terrible, but let’s not gaslight the public. Fran didn’t just criticize a ref off the court. He ran him down a hallway and screamed he was a cheating mother ******.

Bohannan should absolutely not be commenting and is leading a blind eye to all sorts of things his coach has done and the players under him.

Howard’s uncalled for actions don’t negate the history of Fran. He’s been uncontrollable at times and I think 5 years ago almost accidentally punched a referee while so irate.

And I’m sorry but suspend Greg Gard? For what? Lol he literally didn’t do anything other than was trying to be too friendly by explaining why he called the timeout.

The amount of vocal criticism their team does on Twitter is so high schoolish it’s crazy.

Ah, so Juwan also isn’t receiving pay for the rest of the regular season and will get fined the largest fine in Big 10 history. Not enough in Jordan’s eyes though.

I grew up around C.R. and found it to be quite common for people to be stuck in that high school mindset so par for the course there.

Didn't Jordan head butt someone last year in their 'game' with Oregon?

Purposefully trying to injure players is a norm at Iowa and it goes back before Bobo's time.

I know lots of people who either know him personally or have been around him quite a bit and they say he’s just a major douche bag.

Jordan fouled a dude really hard on a fast break layup when Oregon was running away with the game. It was a Flagrant 1 and could’ve been a Flagrant 2 but it was sort of in the gray area.

I don’t hold that against him because he probably wasn’t thinking clearly and sometimes in the heat of the moment you make a mistake, but him and Connor’s “holier than thou” mindset they have is hilarious. If you’d name the “biggest punks” in the last 5 years of the Big 10 both Jordan and Connor are up there alongside their buddy Brad Davison.

One of the more common misunderstandings is that Michigan State always outperforms their seed in the NCAA tournament. In recent history (last 5 tournaments), they’ve only outperformed their seed once. And that’s as a 2 seed making the F4. During that same time, they’ve lost in the 1st round as a 2 seed and in the 2nd round as a 3 seed.

We need to stop that dated narrative of them.

With the monies involved within the Big 10, the narrative will continue to hold true. Similar with SEC. The powers of ESPN and the such, controls the narrative.
