We both just want the chance. Tournament is so unpredictable. Your side of the bracket could get busted.
Ignoring Q1 records but substituting in record against other tourney teams pretty much yields the same result. Iowa is 1-7 against teams in discussion for NCAA tourney. That says they may struggle in said tourney if they make it.
You think most Big 12 teams could solve that vaunted 3/4 court press that Fran terrorizes the B1G with?!

Some of it has to do with Iowa having a weak resume. Most of it has to do with it being our rival, who we beat handily and have the exact same record.
But you’re right. We’re getting to the point of the year where it really doesn’t matter anymore.
ISU could win a couple if the defense is back to how it was when we were playing our best non-con ball. However, shooting woes won't carry them too far.
I think Iowa will win easily tonight, Sparty is a bit overrated, has lost 4 or last 5 and have no real "guy." With the Garza jersey thing and the Barstool Bench Mob guys being in town, Carver might actually have some fans in it tonight. LOL.

According to the stat nerds, ISU needs 20 wins to be at 95+%, Iowa needs 22+. But for whatever reason, they also like Iowa to win 22 games to make it as a $9 seed. They think ISU only wins 20 and gets a #9 seed also.

It's a moving goal post too. When it was brought up to them that the last Tuesday at 6 pm game (Like Iowa's tonight) was a 95% capacity game, it was then shifted to "well, you were playing number 10 Kansas and we're playing unranked Michigan State".
