You could argue them but I don't think they had been playing well enough lately to get the votes. I don't think the AP voters look at head to head from November when doing a top 25 poll either.

Is that right? Wow, I knew they have been down, but didn't realize it has been that long. That is shocking to me as a kid who grew up watching Indiana dominate the Big 10 every year.
Which we should typically. We aren't exactly a physical defense most years. I actually think we don't foul enough sometimes.
But Iowa isn't exactly a huge driving team either though. Aaron White definitely was but it seems like its been since then? Maybe I'm missing someone. Joe T could but he can get sloppy.
Again, I do get that Izzo is a whiner. I'm sure if I were an Iowa fan I'd definitely be saying that too.
Wins against MSU OSU and Illinois are all overrated too. No way Illinois is worthy of a 3 seed. All three are schizo..
MSU will always be there by tourney time, but they always have some clunkers in the regular season and the big ten pretends they were that team all along.

Yeah it’s insane. Indiana was always okay under Archie Miller until last year. They’re sitting in a similar position to Miller’s teams though in possibly falling just short of a bid.
I mean, CBS has ISU as a 7 seed and EIU as a 10. I would say that lines up with ISU with your argument nicely.
Still things to be ironed out but that’s how I’d probably put it at this point.
I think this year we're more attack the paint driven. Not always you're right but this year a lot higher percentage of the shots come inside of the paint

I don't disagree with your resume argument but I think Illinois will be a much tougher out than wisconsin come tournament time. Illinois is going to be a tough matchup if you don't have a guy like Krutwig for Loyola. Many teams won't be able to match kofi's physicality and he can put up 28 and 15 type games
Izzo knows how to work the refs unlike FranCon. Then you have Frans boys in the background all the time complaining about fouling or getting fouled.
We see Izzo in Self. I've seen plenty of patented Self technicals over the years.
I agree I'd consider izzo a whiner and Fran more of a psycho. Izzo has much longer leash because he doesn't always go crazy
