Templeton Rye - Who's Finding It?

If you live in eastern Iowa, I was in the Hartig downtown a few weeks ago and there were six bottles behind the counter. I would have never thought of them carrying it.

I doubt any of the Hawk fans that live around there appreciate TR. Busch Light however was sold out.

I didn't get any, have a fresh 175 of the real good stuff that I haven't even cracked the duct tape off the cap. So enjoy, consider it payback for having to live in hawkeye country.

Too bad the person that owns TR is a huge Hawk DB.

Can't afford it on that Walmart salary! :jimlad:

Parents are coming out to Ohio next weekend from Cedar Rapids and want them to bring me a bottle, where are you eastern Iowa folks finding it?

If they're coming from CR, have them also bring a bottle of Cedar Ridge whiskey. Made in Swisher. Can't help on the TR, haven't been looking lately.

My wonderful sis-in-law picked me up a bottle at the Fareway in Geneso, IL (just a little ways from Davenport. No one there knows about it so it is always on the shelf.

It's pretty easy to find in Chicago right now. My neighborhood corner store (Olivia's Market) has 4 bottles right now. Most Whole Foods stores have it here too.

Casey's in Glidden, IA has 4 bottles on the shelf collecting dust. I guess when your 15 minutes from the real stuff, there's no need for that crap they call Templeton Rye & sell commercially. If there's not duct tape on the lid, don't drink it, it's poison.

...and if they stop to pick up the Cedar Ridge, tell them to pick up a bottle of Griff's Cowboy Whiskey. It's a new release from the same place and is really good. Smoooooooth!!!

Just picked up 6 bottles of true Templeton Rye over the weekend. No reason to buy the Tennessee Wall Lake Rye that you guys call TR.

Keeping 2 for myself and 4 are xmas presents.

Don't know if this has been posted or not but at the Farmer's Market in DSM two weekends ago, I was told they distribute at the first of the month. They also now distribute to NYC so I'm going to try to find some while I'm up there for Thanksgiving!

2 different shops in plainfield, IL have some templeton stocked up. I know most people wont care, but I remember seeing a few people on here from the southwest suburbs.

That's fine too! Got a bottle of both on the shelf. Only downside is that "Griff" is a Hawk. Heard it from the fellas at CR. 'Course, that's hard to avoid over here.
