Templeton Rye - Who's Finding It?

FarminCy loves to chime in with his connections to the underground booze racket.

As for TR, how can some of you still not find it? It seems to be everywhere I go. Production isn't much of an issue anymore.

Real Templeton is great, but not all of us have the means/connections for getting it. Just let us enjoy what we have.
This pretty much sums up my feeling about every TR thread we have. We like what we have, it's sometimes hard to find. If you would like to contribute to the conversation and let us know where to find the 'real stuff,' then ******* post it already.

Ok, i realize that's not gonna happen, but that's how you make me feel fatkid and farmincy

I'm going to guess that their sources would prefer they shut their pie-holes as well. Attention is not generally sought in these endeavors.

For anyone in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area, Panthertown gas station on Hudson right by the college had about 10 bottles of it on Sunday night.

Grand Ave Walmart (Ames) had over 25 bottles. I picked up 4 @ $32.47 apiece. Cheapest I've really seen for it.

Everytime I go to the restaurant/bar thing around the corner from me, I'm reminded of this thread haha. They have TR available.

I have seen it at several DSM area stores. Merle Hay Target, Altoona Hy-Vee and PH Hy-Vee. It seems the supply has caught back up.

What's the differencebetween small batch and non small batch, how do you tell the difference?

"Reading". Left to right, up to down. Group of "words" forms a "sentence".

All kidding aside, it should say right on the bottle. In the past, the small batches/limited editions have been in smaller bottles.

EDIT: I think all are considered "small batch" but there have been some limited releases over the years in smaller bottles that had slightly different recipes. I think one was sort of like a Scotch.

Just got a bottle for Christmas gift. Looks like a "small batch".
Not sure what's the big deal; it's just Whiskey.

Thank you everyone for all your input. I never realized this thread kept going after Christmas 2010. Please stop posting - I don't care anymore where you are finding Templeton Rye. It's a lot easier to find these days.

:skeptical: Maybe some people still do. This thread is bigger than you BillyClone.
