RECRUITING: Morrow to Marquette

This staff.... has not had a great spring. Still some time left but they've had 5 kids visit and 4 have committed elsewhere

First of all, you're dealing with players that have wanted to transfer so its always a bit more of a wildcard as to the situation.

Second, we have no idea what other irons are in the fire and the transfer season isn't over yet. Keep the faith!

The word has probably gotten out that he is a terrible coach!

Now you're just stirring the pot. Spring recruiting is always a bantered about message board frenzy. Just like the Vaughn fiasco, the Juiston situation has been the main cause of any anxiety now expressed.

Do we know that the average transfer takes 4 visits?

IF that is true, I would contend that getting 1 out of 5 is not that awful bad. Not great. Not good. But not the worst.

And that's the thing, we all freak the hell out because we have only got one transfer so far. But we need to at least know how bad that is.
I don't know what the actual average is. I think everyone we've had visit has taken at least 3. I think some of the disappointment comes from a perception that we were the "favorite" for Juiston and Marrow, when in reality, I don't think anyone knew which way those guys were leaning.

Next year will most likely be a rebuilding year. Had this feeling before the transfers happened. Hope to be back in the dance in 17-18. Hopefully Prohm won't get too much heat next year as the senior class that left is one of the greatest in ISU's history.

I'm not stirring the pot. But you apparently don't want to stand by your words. You were the one posting on here multiple times this season that some players family had told you he was not a good coach.

Not getting a quality player is disappointing. Rejection hurts, so I can understand why some people are ready to jump off a cliff/bandwagon.

However, Morrow wasn't playing until 2018/19 season. So the staff has a year to find a similar quality player among HS, JUCO or grad tfr recruits. The biggest negative of Morrow not coming, is we lose a quality practice player next season.

Losing grad tfrs or JUCO's are a bigger loss because we recruited them to play in 6 months.
