I guess it would get old and tiresome. So does "ISU is getting such great players", when it will probably be one of the bottom classes in the big XII. Nothing will be proven till a couple of years from now, but I'll take my chances on the type of talent that NU is bringing in. NU is very close to Texas and Oklahoma now with the last 3 recruiting classes.
All I read around here is Chizek is the greatest and that he will have things turned around in a couple of years. I don't think he will b/c he won't get enough good to great players to ISU and then add to the fact that no one knows how he'll do as a first time head coach.
ISU will struggle again next year due to lack of depth across the team and new schemes. KSU and CU are both a year ahead of ISU in their transitions. KU will be tough at home, but not much of anything on the road. Missouri has some pretty good talent, but they have Pinkle as their coach.
I follow ISU more than any other team, but that's just cause I live in Des moines and I'm subjected to their propaganda on how great ISU will be 'next year'. I pay attention to all big XII teams b/c their recruiting, coaching changes, etc... have an effect on NU.
Again, I hope Pollard and Chizek prove me wrong b/c the North needs to get much better.
