The play that changed our fate was the fluke interception when we were up 28-20. That just killed us. That doesn't happen, we could have taken a bit more time off and if we punted, they have to go further AND get the 2pt conversion to tie. That play killed us.
But that is what happens in this series with K-State. They get the fluke play that allows them to win, blocked PAT, overthrow a Wide A open A-Rob, strangest INT ever, can't wait to see the play we lose on next season.
 
The team looked much better. Let's hope it continues to do so and not deflate.

That sucked but not as bad as looking like we didn't belong on the same field as the FCS champs.

A loss puts us much harder to achieve a winning record for a bowl game. But after last week, glad to see the defense and offense do much better.

I have a lot of hope for these guys. We can't forget the little amount of time Sam has played with the current receivers and staff. In addition new players on D. Lose, forget it, get better and win. Not gonna whine.
 
I feel so much better about this team after today. Maybe not this year, but as we go into the future I think we are onto something. Alot of young guys making big plays out there today (Lazard, Campos, Cotton Moya). Sam looked very good.

Also, feel better about next week watching the first quarter of the Iowa game.

That's what disciplined, well coached teams do. They always seem to make a play when they need it. And it's exactly the sort of thing we can't seem to do.

Still, great improvement from week one to week two. Hopefully we see more improvement next week, because we need to to have any chance at a bowl game.
 
Speaking of giving unnecessary cushion to their receivers, on the 3rd-and-6 that KSU converted after we pinned them at the 3, there wasn't anyone within 15 yards of Sexton at the LOS. Put a body on him, and maybe he still makes the catch or they still convert the 3rd down... but don't just hand it to them on a platter. Damn.
 
I really think we still have 6 wins in us. Toledo, Kansas, WVU, Texas, Texas Tech, Iowa all winnable games. Think this team has an upset in them too. Sure would have been nice to get this one, though. Damn.
 
Wally had a great defensive game plan today, until he felt he had to change it for the last 2 minutes of the first half. I wonder what made him go to something that never works.

Shouldn't have been an INT.

On the fluke interception, I agree, his knees were on the ground when the ball came out. We were robbed.
 
I agree we looked much better. We doubled our scoring. So next week we should get 56. If life was actually linear.

To be fair, that drive looks a lot different without a PF on the bench (WTF?) or the refs do their jobs.
