***Official ISU/KSU Postgame Thread***

Since insisted on handing off to Wimberly on short yardage plays, I would have liked to have seen a bootleg or something on that last 3rd-and-1.

1 ******* YARD. 1 ******* YARD. THIS WHOLE GAME CAME DOWN TO 1 ******* YARD.

The non-review isn't the issue. Inability to get 1 freakin' yard when we need it. It was spiking the ball for no reason.

Glad to see Jevohn Miller at the mike and Luke Knott at the will. Obviously the offense looked great during our run. Thought SR hit his 2nd or 3rd receiver a few times. Overall thought Sam played well, wish he would throw more once he escapes an initial rush. Also wish we didn't just run the zone read on 3rd and 4th and 1. Sam made a bad read on the 4th and 1, DE dove hard inside of Campos, Sam would have had an easy first. Glad to see the effort from the team and some big plays on defense, but no turnovers and no points in the 2nd half was the difference.

I knew how the game was going to end after that unsportsman call near the end of the first half.

It was just going to take an hour and a half to get there.

I dont like the non-replay, but I have to point the finger to the three failed 3rd and 1s in the 2nd half. I had high hopes that Mangino knew how to run a quarterback sneak and the mandatory shot gun, no questions asked, left with Herman/Messingham. Doesnt appear so.

Mangino needs to change some things up in the second half. He's pretty predictable after seeing the first half.

It sucks we lost. 99% is wins and losses. But I am feeling better about the Clones program after this game after last weeks's debacle.

At least we showed a pulse. Don't know where the offense went in the 2nd half, but we've got to figure something out on short yardage situations. The read with Wimberly just isn't it. So frustrating.

The ending was all but guarantees when you let them score within 1:30 to end the first half. Happens way too often

We played 10x+ better than last week. I'm not really unhappy at all (on the whole)

1) Wally and the D did everything they could, and needed to.

2) We can see what the O is capable of - but need more consistency. 0 points in the second half? Really? And only 21 overall. Not sure that'll get it done in any game this season. Toledo and KU included.

3) I will never, ever understand why on 3rd and short you take the ball off the line. I know we play out of the shotgun, but that play took a 4th and 1 to a 4th and 6 and took a 4th down play - or even a fake punt- out of consideration.

4) Glad to see CPR send Lazard to the locker room after shooting his mouth off at the end of the half. Nice job dip-****.

5) Wouldn't be a BigXII game if we didn't get ****ed by the officials, would it? And twice - the non-review at the end of the half, and the inexplicable one in the 3rd when it stopped us from the quick snap on 4th and 1.

6) Sam played so much better, but still gets a little happy in pressure situations. What did he not see on that last play? Wimberly saw the blitz from the opposite side. That should've been easy for him.

Oh well. Feel much better than last week. SO much better. The kids won't - but hopefully they see the possibilities and have more confidence.

How can you go into the locker room and tell your players to pick your head up after that? You had them. You ******* them.

Why do I feel like this game is going to really hurt after we win 5 games (yes, I still think we win 5 games).
