Dont blame the refs

We need to figure out how to convert a 3rd down without going into shotgun.

good effort.

We need to catch the ball.

We are not forcing turnovers.

I am still on pace with my 0-5 start.

These guys played well today, but no way do we beat iowa, Baylor, OSU or maybe even Toledo.
UnREAL.... any other team play isu would have punched that in for the win. us...no way.

Let's not blame the officials. Once again the great receivers on our team cannot catch. You are not a great receiver if you cannot catch the football. This only seems to be a problem at ISU, where every year we here about these great guys then watch the ball fall right through their hands at game time. How are we not getting better? Most of them have been in the system for at least 3 years?
 
What changed everything was giving up that crap TD before half. If we go into half up 2 TDs, I think we would have pulled it out.

The kids played hard. Be ****** off at the coaches or your wife or boyfriend or whatever. But these kids could have laid down after those first 3 drives by KSU and they didn't. They fought their butts off today. They deserve some respect.

Can Woody apply for an extra year of eligibility? Or maybe play in disguise as Geoff Wooday?

Wimberly is not a short yardage back...to easy to bring him down at the LOS...where the heck is Standard? Heck, even Nealy would be better...

i am not happy either but the effort by the guys today would beat a Toledo.
 
Some day I'll have the foresight to stop watching Iowa State football.

It's no different than doing hard drugs. Feels good to do it, but it's terrible for your health and you hate yourself after.
 
I think we need to stop doing qb read on short yard situations. Stack it up and push it forward inside the guards. The fastest route to the sticks is straight forward. Heck dump a play action pass to Bibbs, west, etc. I'm just not a fan of the qb read on such short plays. Hurt us a couple times.

Toledo didn't look good today plus their qb looked like he may have torn his acl. I think we get them.
 
I couldn't believe when we got the ball with 4:18 left in the 4th quarter up 2 that we couldn't put together a time eating drive. I know KSU had to burn 2 timeouts but that was the game for me though. We should be able to play keep away for 4 minutes.
