Yeah, this storm has got to have Central Iowa weather forecasters biting their nails. Just a slight deviation could change snow totals for the metro from 4 inches to a trace.

I was on a conference call yesterday where there are guys planting in South Texas in the Rio Grand Valley. Moisture is the soil so it was full send.

I don't even necessarily get the metro schools closing (I guess go ahead & err on the side of caution when you have days to use), but a college?? We currently have maybe 2" in NW Johnston. I know it's still coming down, but doesn't seem to be accumulating all that quickly.

Seems crazy. They are projecting like 2 inches for Ankeny. Ankeny schools closed now too.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Either way, some people are going to complain. In today's sue happy society, I totally get canceling as often as schools do.
