Mike Taylor Arrested (Twice Now)

Man I hope a "jury of his peers" isn't this bunch. Its sounds like everyone wants to get rid of him. This isn't like Wayne Morgan where any excuse will do. People usually get kicked off of teams for things a lot worse than this. They only get kicked off if the coach doesn't really need them.

You guys are talking about a case you know nothing about. We don't know what he did. He could have done something very minor and got arrested for it. I got arrested for not paying a seat belt fine on time. So wait until we find out what he did. It was for something that cost under $500 and more than $200. It could not have been that bad. Let's wait and see.

Thanks for the link. He broke a sign and made a mess. Sounds like stupid drunk things I'm sure many people have seen people do. Not condoning it though.

Does this mean Taylor will join the all-Dershowitz team at ISU?

Player (Crime)

Sam "Have it your way" Mack (Burger King holdup)
Kenny "NyQuil" Pratt (DUI, etc.)
Jared Homan (Public Intox.?)
Robert Faulkner (Assault?)
Jackson Vroman (Drug Possession and bad hairdo)

Honorable Mention: Adam Haluska (treason)

Head Coach: Larry Eustachy (kissing coeds/drinking bad beer)
Asst. Coach: Randy Brown (Child Porn)

Sorry about any errors or omissions. These are just what came to mind.

I don't buy the OWI. If he got an OWI it's public record somewhere. Florida, Wisconsin, or wherever. It wouldn't take much of a reporter to figure it out.

I am pretty sure that applied to our previous football coach as well, where you could actually go to jail, and still get back on the field the next year.

Does anyone recall if GMac had any UNI players that had legal issues? If so, do you recall how he handled similar issues in the past? I'm just trying to get a handle on how GMac works in situations like this.

I can't think of any UNI BB players getting into trouble. UNI Football yes, but BB no.

I don't feel any obligation to give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm making my current decision based on the facts as I currently know them. If those facts change or the truth "sets him free", I will then change my opinion. For now, it sounds as if he did something really dumb and he might be punished harshly. Also, he was probably on some sort of probation from the OWI arrest.

Taylor, according to police records, discharged a fire extinguisher, damaged a light cover, pulled down an exit sign, and poured liquid on a wall. The incident, which caused just more than $200 damage, is classified as a serious misdemeanor.

What an idiot. Wow, I don't know what to think about this, that is not normal behavior even for a drunken college student. I'd hate to lose a player of his talent but at some point this nonsense has to end so I don't blame Mac 1 bit if he kicks Taylor off the team.

Taylor would not have been enrolled when he had is dwi, correct? I'm not sure the unversity looks at that one as an official screw up.

Doesn't stuff like this happen at every apartment complex every weekend in college towns?

Exactly.

It happened, it did exist. It's just that no one talked about it so therefore no one looked for it.
So did Miller get his initial information from here (Taylor with DUI -not in Iowa) and do a search in Wisconsin (where Taylor is from)?? I obviously don't know the answer, but the timing seems more than coincidental.
