Keep the coaches

So for the keep CPR sect of our fan base, will you admit wins and losses don't matter and you don't care about the program succeeding? you're fine with rah rah speeches and beating Iowa every other year?

LMFAO...so, we should all strive to have the winner mentallity that you have? This post trully made me laugh out loud. Good stuff, awd4cy, good stuff.
What a joke. I guess since we are historically bad we should just give up. Alright, time to close the football program.

No kidding. As if the "mentality" of couch potatoes results in wins or losses.

Keep it coming friend. This is some of your best material yet. And, I'll take that as a yes that we should follow your example of how to have a winning attitude. Will you be putting a book out anytime soon, so that we might have a more detailed explanation of how we might aspire to such great heights?

No you're right. We should be proud of Rhoads and his rah rah speeches plus continual beat downs. Need to keep staying 50,000+ thousand strong at JTS so we can keep him forever and stay on par with our historical ways.

For one thing we need to schedule some guaranteed wins in the non conference. The other two besides Iowa need to be bottom of the barrel teams like the SEC plays.

Win those two and split with Iowa and at leas you're in a decent position to win 5/6 games most years

I've always been one to push for patience, however I don't understand how the comprehension level on not being able to out athlete the southern schools continues. We make fun of the team to the east but I'd love to see a ND St type hire which stresses ball control and winning the line of scrimmage. Think about the career Lazard could have if teams had to commit safeties to stop our running game?

Why do we always seem to barely lose to KSt when they aren't that much more athletic than us?
They have a formula that can work no matter the opponent.

Not sure about all that. Just am highly amused by your endless fight. For a moment I start to admire the tenacity, but then it quickly returns to amusement because of your belief that you're actually having an effect on an outcome, or that which is to come.

Keep being satisfied my friend. If you love watching this football all the power to ya. Why are you on here when you could be watching today's replay?

About as amusing as you being in complete denial with your head in the sand. It's cool though because you're SO PROUD

The difference is Rhoads had had support and facilities like no coach at ISU had ever even dreamed of. Hoiberg's taken that support and excelled. Rhoads had taken that support and taken a huge messy dump with it.

Literally every visitor to our football facilities remarks that they are NFL caliber. To even insinuate that CPR doesn't have the tools he needs here is simply ridiculous.

The new Football facility is what, 2-3 years old?

Did you think we would build it, and all of sudden our players would run 4.4 40's and we'd start dominating?

The facility is a GREAT tool that we haven't had before, and I think it is starting to pay off in the last two recruiting classes. Look at the best players on the team:

Bibbs - recruited 2 years ago
Lazard - last year
Montgomery - last year
Tribune - 2 years ago
Cotton Moya - 2 years ago
Campos - 2 years ago
Wesley - last year
Mutcherson - 3 years ago
Burton - 3 years ago
Taylor - Last year

The guys that are making the biggest impact on the team are guys that Rhoads and staff brought in the last couple years AFTER the facilities were upgraded. You can't expect the facilities to pay dividends for Iowa State the second they are completed. That's not realistic IMO.

In reality, with those facilities came much worse football. Doesn't make sense, but its the truth.

The facilities haven't been around long enough to have a major impact on recruiting yet. That was the point I was trying to make. We've gotten some nice players the last couple years, now let's hope that the last two recruiting classes pay off on the field in 2015 and 2016.

You are a clown. Keep being satisfied my friend. If you love watching this football all the power to ya. Why are you on here when you could be watching today's replay?
You must live a pathetic unfulfilling life.
You post non-stop with this crap like it's your purpose in life. Serious self-esteem issues.

What makes anyone think a new coach is going to change the results. Every saturday i come on here and its fire the coach. How about we stick with the coach and see what the future holds. If we suck for two more years oh well. We have sucked for 120 years give or take 3 decent seasons. . Whats two more. Its one of the hardest places in college football to recruit. We have some decent offensive weapons that are young. We have a proven offensive coordinator that is new. If we made the move we would have a huge payout and could not afford a good new coach anyway. We might want to replace some defensive coaches. I get that. But enough of the fire CPR stuff. Give it a rest.

Good post, and I agree. We just need to fix a few things and we will be back to making bowl games. It's not like we are going to get anyone better as a head coach, anyways. We're Iowa State, who the hell would want to coach here?
