Its not the money that is the problem for any teams in the NFL is the cap hit. They only have around $245 million to get everyone under contract, and if they push contracts down the road they still have to apply a lot of that money against their total money. Right now the Chiefs have around $23 million in cap space to use, but that is going to get eaten up quickly if they sign Jones or Sneed.That's kind of what I thought too, with the word 'restructure'. But you never really know how they restructure it.
I mean, he could give a portion of his salary to the Kansas City Chiefs Benevolent society, as far as I know.
