NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

I don't see why this can't be easy
He wants to be one of the highest paid Dlineman, and they are hoping to come to an agreement that allows for a large signing bonus and then make it a cap friendly, freeing up money for Hopkins or another player when camp starts.

I've seen projections of 4 years 120 million. I could see a scenario where he's not extended

At that price, 4/120, this will be his last year with the Chiefs. They just cannot afford to spend that much money on a Dlineman. They would have to be creative as hell to come up with that much money, huge signing bonus, and 20 million a year in salary, and they just do not have the cap space for it.

Is the Quennin Williams contract with the Jets the last data point needed to get Jones extended? Williams got $96 million for four years, $66 million guaranteed.

Slot Jones between this and Donald $.

His durabilty is a concern considering they are essentially counting on him to be one of their top WR. Hoping they get this Jones contract figured out then if some veteran WR that makes sense gets cut after camp they could sign another to add some depth. If Mahomes can get production out of this WR group like he did last year he's got another MVP award coming.

Going into camp this is what the WR depth chart looks like before they make cuts. Other than MVS not a lot of expirience at the position.

KC is no longer suiting up a fullback so I imagine we'll roll 7 deep at WR.

Toney (gotta stay healthy)
MVS (only returning vet)
Skyy (year two leap?)
Rice (tbd)
James (I think he's a sleeper for a big year)
Watson (best WR6 in the league??)
Justyn Ross (hype hype hype hype)
