NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

Maybe this will be a wakeup call for him to not be such an idiot. Amazes me how anyone thinks they can get away with this type of stuff when there are cameras nearly everywhere you go right now either security cameras so someone with a smartphone. You have to assume these days that there is always a camera on you, especially if you are someone like him who is more in the public spotlight. Sad to see their dad seems to have raised them right and Patrick has been a class act for the most part while Jackson is letting his fame by association with his brother go to his head.

If Toney can stay healthy, I think he has a monster year.
I think everyone in the room is good, not great. But yes, Toney is the one with the highest upside and he has to stay healthy.
I'm also still curious about Justyn Ross. Could be fake internet hype but never know.

Well just when you thought Brittany Mahomes had toned it down lately and not given the internet more reason to hate her she goes and says something stupid again...

Brittany Mahomes Says Jackson Mahomes Was 'Just Trying To Live His Life & People Should Shut Up' After Being Arrested For Sexual Battery (dailysnark.com)

You have to wonder if her and Jackson haven't had some harsh conversations in private with Patrick and Patrick Sr about them keeping a lower profile and not giving the media stuff like this to make a spectacle of. Patrick's brand and image is too valuable for those 2 to be casting a negative light that can tarnish his brand.

Good signing, can never have enough OL when you have a high priced MVP QB to protect.

If the Chris Jones deal is close to getting done, then this may be a great signing. I need to be assured there is money for this without risking the Jones extension.

I thought the only way they would have enough cap room was if they extended Chris Jones.

I think it's all about agent manipulation of the phrasing when it came to announcing the Donovan Smith deal. One year, up to $9M. Key being "up to." I hope it's an incentive based contract and the cap hit for 2023 is low.

Reports of $4M base and the rest are incentives.

Hasn't Donovan Smith lead the league or close to it in holding penalties the last couple of years?

2022:
Smith 13 flags (most in league)
Brown 7 flags

2021:
Smith 9 flags
Brown 7 flags

2020:
Smith 10 flags
Brown 5 flags (with Baltimore)

So yes, not great. Hopefully getting healthy, changing systems, o-line coaches and blocking for Mahomes will improve those numbers. Otherwise they'll probably switch to Taylor at LT and someone else at RT.

Thought so. I remember watching him last year and thinking "he stinks".
