A better comparison, though, would be Big 12 on ESPN+ > Iowa games on BTN.

They have the one weekly game on NBC and I agree that that is definitely better but the streaming exclusives they gave to Peacock aren't as good as ESPN+ distribution.

Then again, from their perspective, everything is better than the trainwreck dumpster fire that was BTN+.

There are a lot of annoying things in collegiate athletics today, but one of the worst has to be conference affiliation smack. The media cares about maybe a dozen or so teams nationally. The rest fill time slots. Iowa isn't one of the elite few. No one outside Iowa cares about Iowa. Congrats on your conference affiliation from a 100 years ago though.

He’s probably right. Sounds like it’s mostly wrestlers and baseball players at Iowa that are a problem.

We’ll lose 5 starters on the football team, and Iowa will lose a couple that will never play anyway.

I’m just going to assume Iowa will smoke us in football this year. Then I won’t be disappointed no matter what happens.
