I'm looking forward to them boycotting the Kings when Golden State bounces themBetween the Hok beat writers and the helicopter dad, this is has turned into an interesting series....
Eickholt will demand a trade for MurrayI'm looking forward to them boycotting the Kings when Golden State bounces them
He is averaging about 9 points a game on 52% shooting including 47% from three so far.Too lazy to look it up but wasn't Murray's shooting % pitiful in the first 5-6 playoff games? Eventually, they will run more plays for more reliable options. It's called analytics.
He was 3-12 and 1-8 from three with a total of 10 points in the first three games combined. He then followed that up by having a very nice outing in Game 4. He was also very solid in last night's game but my goodness let's not act like he's the special sauce here. The reason the Kings lost was not because they didn't play through Murray. He is averaging about 9 points a game on 52% shooting including 47% from three so far.
It's the same reason why there are Iowa fans who believe that Garza should be starting in Minnesota and also said JBo could carve out a role in the NBA because his game emulated Steph Curry's.Considering murray was borderline unplayable most of the series I'm not sure why he should just be handed looks.
I agree with that, but lets also remember that Murray is essentially a role player on a pretty good team. I don't think he wants to over extend his role at the same time. The Kings will go as far as Fox and Sabonis take them. Fox had a really poor game last night. The reason the Kings lost was not because they didn't play through Murray.
Also, Keegan is not a very assertive player. He's pretty reserved overall and had to essentially be told to get the ball by teammates even when he was at Iowa.

Yeah that's mine and everyone else's main point here. He's a rookie and a role player who's playing in his first playoff series and there are Iowa fans mad that he's not touching the ball enough and think that NBA vets & All Stars should be looking for him more. Eickholt, who's as big of an Iowa fan as they come, is also stating that unanimously voted as COY, Mike Brown is coaching poorly.I agree with that, but lets also remember that Murray is essentially a role player on a pretty good team. To be fair, Iowa fans never get a chance to see good coaching, so they likely don't recognize it.Eickholt, who's as big of an Iowa fan as they come, is also stating that unanimously voted as COY, Mike Brown is coaching poorly.
Or multiple post season games. To be fair, Iowa fans never get a chance to see good coaching, so they likely don't recognize it.
I do think Eickholt had a point in that Keegan was hot at the beginning and never got another shot attempt, but it isn't enough to tweet about IMO. But he knows what he is doing by playing to his base at the same time.Yeah that's mine and everyone else's main point here.
