I Thought KU Didnt Care?

I readily acknowledge Kansas' regular season dominance over the past 11 years (even though it should be won or shared 10 out of the last 11 titles---I will go to my grave not accepting that Kansas won the thing 2 years ago) if Kansas fans acknowledge that they know that Iowa State is a true rival. They all act like it, but they won't admit it.

I've said before that I wouldn't trade the season Kansas had last year for the season Iowa State had last year. And I still wouldn't. But last year Iowa State tied for 3rd in the conference and didn't really challenge KU for the title. This year Iowa State (and Oklahoma and Baylor) really challenged KU for the title. We were within 1 game of them. We were right there. The gap this year was tiny and we proved that last night.

You have to love how insecure KU fans are.

When it comes down to it, most of them are wheat farmers from the prairie that are rather ignorant. Fun group to mess with.

How awesome is it that Iowa State went into KU's backyard, outnumbered their fans, and beat them in the title game for the second-straight championship?

When ISU snaps KU's regular season streak next year and brings the tournament streak to three straight, the power center in the Big 12 will have fully shifted north. KU's title from 1952 is worth about as much as Perry Ellis - it is too old to matter.

Ohhhhh snap

Unfortunately for her... being fat and ugly is real.

KU fan here. I have been lurking here for a while but didn't feel it appropriate to chime in. But with the Big 12 season now over, I am coming out.

Great win folks. Even though we were prepared for your second half run, we still had no answer until it was too late. You deserve the win. For the next year, Hilton South it will be I guess. Sigh

I will be rooting for you guys for the next couple of weeks, and expect that you will make a deep run in the nationals. Any team that can beat us like that better make the Elite 8! (Of course, should we meet there, we will even up the score!)

KU fans do hate to lose so, of course, we are upset, but there is no major melt down. From reading some of your posts, I know you understand that watching your team play dumb and brain dead is frustrating. Most of the second half was us watching our team play dumb again, so we are upset more with that than with the actual loss.

Anyway, enjoy your win.

Thanks man, now that the conference battles are over and we each have our prizes, it's on to the real test. All self respecting Clones will be pulling for KU and all of our conference brothers.
KU will be fun to watch with everyone healthy.
Good luck!

Iowa is mostly the sticks, but so is Kansas. The rest of the country has about the same opinion of both. Nobody thinks of Kansas as anything more than hicks, but they think of Iowa that way too.

We still have internet, sat TV, electricity, running water and refrigeration. I love the sticks. JMO.

Seriously though, I driven through Kansas many, many times. Both directions. I've also spent a lot of time with relatives in the Sunflower State. It's as bad as Nebraska.

These same weenies would have had a woodie if they had won and been able to chant Rock Chalk Jayhawk at our fans. They act like they would have just clapped a couple of times and gone back to their hotels ot little town in Kansas to watch a SNL rerun.
