I Thought KU Didnt Care?

For not caring, they seem to waste a lot of time posting about it. Prime example right here: http://kansas.scout.com/forums/2481-hoops-talk/13730281-lol-at-the-isu-hats?s=172

For almost every league/sport, the regular season is played for seeding into the championship bracket. You think the Patriots were happy the year they went undefeated and won the regular season championship but lost the Super Bowl? Which one do you think they would rather have won?

Imagine that. Someone brought up that EJ thing. I love watching KU fans try to use that as a moral high ground even though the founder of the Westboro Baptist Church is a Kansas fan. Too good.

my Dad just called to ask if I were watching (er, yeah). He's an Illinois fan and he's like boy, Self sure looked ****** to get beat by you guys.....again!

haha, so even outsiders can see that KU cares a lot.

Well, I don't think Illinois fans are too fond of Self since he left them for Kansas

I know he doesn't like Weber, but I don't know if that's because he left or didn't leave soon enough. Didn't even remember that Self was at IL too.

I'm going to take to the internet and let people know how much I don't care. Flawless logic, KU fan.

You know, KU fans are making such a big deal out of the hats that say conference champions, but I don't see full disclosure from them on their "11 straight conference championships". After all, shouldn't they include on their gear that 3 of those were co-champions?

GO CYCLONES!!!

670 AM "The Score" had Stephen Bardo on-air during the lunch hour earlier this week, and even he is telling Illinois fans to let it go. He specifically mentioned to stop hating Bruce Pearl and Bill Self. I thought it was funny. =D

KU fans are just butthurt because ISU gets A LOT of media attention, Fred wins consistently, and ISU is THE PROGRAM that scares/alienates/etc that fanbase the most out of any other team the Big 12.

...and oh by the way, ISU has beaten KU in 3 of the last 4 games, including twice in the ever meaningless B12 conf tourney. F U, KU! I'm still ****** at Rhoads for getting Sam hurt and killing the Clones chances of beating them in football as well.

Actually they should say "11 straight regular season conference champions"!

Fred said to use up what is left in the tank to the back ti the game. Not yet out of gas.

For the record, with the Big 12 tourney championship win, ISU and KU have the same B12 record (15-6), with the Clones winning 2 of 3 games against them this year. In this case, might be a little merit to the fact that ISU is a Big 12 champion of some sort.

If Kansas fans care so much about perfect nuance and word choice when describing something involving a championship, then I don't want to hear another word about their unprecedented regular season conference winning streak. They are allowed to say they have either won or tied for 11 straight conference championships, but no more claiming they have won 11 straight conference titles. Since it's so important to be clear on these things, we should all remember a tie isn't a win.

As I sit here watching Notre Dame celebrate their ACC tournament title, I see on their hats that it says "ACC Champions", not "ACC tournament champions". Don't those stupid Irish know they are diminshing Virgina's regular season accomplishments??? Who do they think they are!!! Stupid hayseeds.

Should say "2 straight regular season championships and one that was fixed by crooked refs".

Having at least a share 10 out of 11 is impressive, but even a share of the last 11 is a lie since they had to cheat to get it.

If the tournament isn't that important, then why do you earn the automatic bid for it?

If they didn't care then no way Perry Ellis would be playing hurt, right?

Agree, still trying to figure out why Self would risk further injury to Ellis, not to mention further hurting their chances of doing well in the tournament. Maybe he's seeing us gaining on him in the rear view mirror, maybe to make a point with Diallo & other recruits we seem to be going head-to-head vs. KU that they should go there? Who really knows, but Ellis looked like he re-injured his knee.
