Anyone who denies a team not caring about the outcome of a game is dumb. Players at this level are ultra competitive and it doesn't matter who you're playing, especially when it's a championship game.

Typical denial **** that people do to themselves so they don't put as much stress on themselves for a loss.

How awesome is it that Iowa State went into KU's backyard, outnumbered their fans, and beat them in the title game for the second-straight championship?

When ISU snaps KU's regular season streak next year and brings the tournament streak to three straight, the power center in the Big 12 will have fully shifted north. KU's title from 1952 is worth about as much as Perry Ellis - it is too old to matter.

If the regular season is what really matters we should just give UK the national title right now. The postseason is when champions are crowned. Regular season matters, but to say tournaments don't is just dumb.
