How far can Iowa go?

I don't think baylor or iowa really have more talent then isu (some years in the past yes, but not so-much under campbell) -- it's more of a gameplanning issue

however, I think the jury's still out on our performance vs. the upper echelon in college football like Alabama -- we did not do that well against Notre Dame a few years back and I would consider them second-tier (iirc, we hired a new strength coach after that loss)
Well this is just plain delusional but carry on.

Will be one hell of a pillow fight

the big 12 isn't what it once was but at least the product is entertaining -- the big 10 sucks

they are literally only relevant because of tv markets and the alumni of the schools, but the actual product is trash

the only reason it would be good if iowa state ever joined is money and stability -- other than that I would never ever want to go there

Looks like you are getting your wish. I’m good with that as well.

According to you ISU has lost to two pretenders who aren’t even decent teams. They have beaten two of the absolute worst teams in all of FBS football and a FCS school. That there is a pretty impressive resume. LOL
So who has EIU beat that is that good then? 2- 3 Indiana or 3-2 ISU? I forget what juggernauts Colorado State and Kent State are. You will play one team this year with a winning record in conference worth a damn in Penn. St, again miss OSU, MSU and Michigan, and then come on here crowing that EIU is worthy of the playoff because they had 10 or 11 wins.
Repeat of your 2015 season.

Let me ask you one question, why doesn't EIU nut up and ask the conference to schedule playing Ohio St a little more often, I mean Freerents has been at EIU for 23 years and has only played them 11 times going 2-9. If EIU is such a force in the conference, I am sure the Big 10 would want such a major match up played more than once every 3 or 4 years like it has been for the past 10 seasons.

There will be 2 teams from the BIG West who will end season with a winning record. That is how bad BIG West is this year.

Of the Top 4 Big Ten Opponents Iowa could play this year they will play (1)...Penn St... Can you imagine if ISU skipped OU, TX and OKie state this year and replaced them with IL, Purdue, NW... LOL.

As for the benching of QB's...After a QB has had 4+ turnovers and the game is over there is absolutely zero point in playing the same QB....

Iowa has played 3 games that matter so far...in those 3 games the Iowa defense has been given 14 turnovers...Literally 5 turnovers a game on average. That is truly unreal and unheard of. Georgia Southern last year lead the nation in turnovers gained with 24 last year over 13 games.... Iowa is on pace to get 40 turnovers...There is no way Iowa keeps this pace up.

Just wait for your new conference members to join. Can’t wait to hammer on you guys for missing UCF and Houston. Won’t be able to say that with a straight face tho.
If in the future we play them as often as EIU plays Ohio State, you have a right to come here and ***** all you want and point it out. Its garbage that EIU is not playing the best team in the league at least every other year, which they have not been doing in the last 10.

We have a 14 team conference so I forgive you for not understanding. Hawks have been cross division matched with Penn St. Look at how many times we’ve played them. They’ve been and are a better program than any big 12 program not named Oklahoma. If we’d been playing Michigan or Ohio State as much you’d be sitting here ******** about us not playing Penn St enough. We were supposed to play Ohio St last year and the * happened. It was disappointing. I’d love to play them more and we may still get our chance this year.

We can’t control how well the teams on our schedule are playing any more than you can. lets look at strength of schedule on Sagarin on Monday and see how our schedules so far compare.

I don't understand this take really -- we outgained baylor like 2:1 on yardage but just had turnovers at critical points in the game and special teams mishaps -- would call that more of a lack-of-detail then "out-talented"

the only measurement we've had for isu teams in the matt campbell era against well coached, highly talented teams is like oklahoma (which we've done okay) and notre dame (which we didn't do well) -- I think it's fair to say that I don't know how we would match up against some of the more talented teams since it literally hasn't happened before

Yep, we have consistently played Wisconsin, and Penn St which over the last 5-6 years have been better than playing OU + whatever the 2nd best Big12 team is. Literally behind OU there is nothing. Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn St, and OSU all have better winning % since 2015 than the 2nd best Big12 team. The Big12 is literally OU then nothing.

LOL No.
TCU has as many Top 10 finishes as Penn St the last decade (since new B12) and as many in the last 20 years.

NW has won the West 2 of the last 3 years, and lost by seven touchdowns last night to a bad team.
