How far can Iowa go?

True, but Greene's last year was 2014, so no EIU running back has had a carrier in the league since then, 7 seasons ago. In 3 years Montgomery has 2435 yards, in his six seasons Greene had 4110, so DM should pass him in another 3 years barring injury.
Iowa's RB recruiting has been so bad they thought Tyler Goodson was actually good

So...

Do I want Iowa to defeat Michigan to destroy any possible way of the Big 10 getting 2 teams in the playoff (and quite possibly 0)?

Or...

Do I want Michigan to defeat Iowa because I don't want the hoks having nice things?

So much to think about with this one. Would I rather have tavern hoks or Walmart wolverines being happy.

Absolutely want Iowa to lose. They don't deserve to be where they are. They keep failing forward.

Have to root for Michigan just because of Kirk's past and what he's currently doing

You have to keep in mind my perspective - I'm surrounded by Walmart wolverines. This is lose-lose for me regardless.

I guess in my head if Michigan soundly beats Iowa at least they actually earned it. They had to beat OSU as well.

I hear ya tho...I just don't think it gets worse than Tavernhoks.

I didn't think so either - then I moved to Michigan a decade ago. I will admit there's something slightly worse about tavern hok, but we're talking about by the slimmest of margins.

NGL, I became a MSU fan largely because of Walmart wolverine and the fact that I couldn't stomach the idea of cheering for OSU.

Not sure what you are watching, Goodson is a good running back. Iowa's OL has been "sub-par" (based on their usual play) this year. Goodson has still managed to have a good season - I mean he has over 1,110 yards on the season.
They play in the Big Ten West. I could have 1,100 yards playing in the West behind the best center in CFB

I suggest you look at Ohio St’s out of conference results before you start talking about them being good. They’re purely the result of playing in a garbage conference.

Goodson is OK, but according to EIU fan base, he is a better back than Hall, all the while having 6 TD's to Hall's 20, 360 fewer yards on 15 less carries, all that with a better line than ISU has.

Goodson has too many runs where he is tackled in the backfield for negative yards to be anything more than average, not horrible, but not great either.

Oh, i agree he's nowhere close to Hall (seriously, not even in the same echelon as Hall), but he's still a good (i.e. above-average) power 5 running back.

You have to ask yourself how many upper league teams would he be starting for? No way at Ohio State, Michigan, MSU or Wisconsin. So at best he would be starting for teams 5 and lower in the league. Like I said, he is an average back at best, not horrible but not a difference maker either.
