Hawkeyes Basketball

Is there another fan base in the country that can go from "Our coach is COY" to "Fire the bum" any faster than HokNation?

Why anyone would want to coach there is beyond me. But I hope Fran stays forever.

You our don't come around here much after ISU games I take it?

It was also the beginning of the end for NAZ, and i believe purdon't had a guy out.

Naz or not we played like crap against Iowa, Baylor and WVU in Hilton this year. C game managed to beat Iowa still, WVU and Baylor not as much.

Anywhere near the OU or KU game performances and it's an unbeaten year at home and the Iowa game doesn't require the theatrics.

There's no way Iowa loses four in a row...is there?
Honestly, I think they lose the next 2. Indiana is on fire, and Michigan will be tough at home, especially if Lavert plays, although he did not play in the loss today at Wisconsin.

The funny thing about today, wasn't Ohio State playing without one of their best players?

Iowa looked bad. Uthoff is either just worn out, or he is injured. He just has not looked right for a few games now. Of course, it is easy to get tired out when you are carrying a whole team.

With what's going on on the inside don't be surprised if an "unbelievable opportunity" opens up out east.

They're not tired. Iowa lacks talent and they were playing above their talent level for the month of January. Now they've came back down to Earth and while other teams are getting better as the season gets on Iowa's ceiling is so low they can only hope to not get worse. Really the perfect storm

Peaked or Lucked out early? Its a little more difficult to beat teams at full strength.

We very likely win @OU if Buddy is injured. It was a very tight game as it was. I like our chances @KU next week if Ellis gets hurt just before our game as well.

Valentine was averaging an absolutely ridiculous line before his injury. His line was just as good as Ben Simmons except on an elite team, he was like 30-40% of MSU's entire production.

Credit to Iowa for that 4-0 run against MSU and Purdue, but the MSU games you really have to look at the context that even freaking Nebraska was stomping them at the time.

Wonder if Murph & Andy will cover that same topic with zest on their show?

Doubtful. It was a joke that I knew would come back to bite.

They will spend the show talking about what has happened to the Iowa basketball team the past few weeks. Then talk about ISU's win in passing. On Tuesdays show they will make fun of ISU fans for being mad about them for spending the Monday the day talking about Iowa. At some point this week they will talk about how much fun it is to cover teams that win, yet they will spend the week talking about how bad Iowa's team is. Murph will also send one of his sports reporters to where ever to cover Iowa, yet will flip a coin do decided if he will send anyone to Ames to cover ISU on Monday.

And then when one of his anchors makes fun of Iowa State Murphy will tell Iowa State fans they are far too sensitive and they aren't biased and they love Iowa State. And 'Cyclowns' is a common way to mispronounce 'Cyclones'.

Wonder if ESPN will run national stories about ISU having the better star player in the state and being the better team in the state. Wonder if Murph & Andy will cover that same topic with zest on their show?

Doubtful. It was a joke that I knew would come back to bite.

**** those two. Their massive boner over ISU's struggles this season has been ********

I'll be waiting for Eammon Brennan's ESPN article about Niang being the best player on the best team in the state. Since he's not a lifelong hawk fan I'm sure it's coming right? I mean that was just required professional journalism so I'm sure he'll issue an update.
