It's so funny the classless posts were the ones that used horrible grammar and misspelled stuff while the ones with any sort of class made posts that made sense. It's definitely easy to tell the tavern hoks from the smarter ones.

My dad went to the game today with one of his Hawkeye friends...After the game he basically said the hawk fans he was tailgating with were just silent and once they got back to the tailgate one of them tossed the cooler and headed home without saying anything lol.

I live in Iowa City. I went to the store for more booze after the win. Saw a friend from work in line with her husband. I was wearing my ISU shirt. First words out of her mouth after I say "Hi!" are "Don't gloat!" Then she said, "I don't even really care about the game, really." And from there she some how transitioned into how her mom thinks it is such a bad idea that these teams play each other, because it really limits each team's bowl chances. I just replied, "2 men enter, 1 man leaves." But really, it's best to say nothing. Besides, Netten had the best final word. Thank you Paul Rhoads, for making life in this town far more bearable for another year!

Went out for dinner after the game and wound up sitting in the bar part of restaurant. Four middle aged to elderly drunk women Hok fans were loudly complaining and accosting anyone in Cyclone attire, until one of them had to jiggle off to vomit. When they left, waitress said they had been there for seven hours and left zero for a tip.

I called a good hok fan buddy after the game, and he blamed Iowa's lack of offense in the second half on -- get this -- the shadow from the press box making it hard to see. When I asked why this seemed to only be a problem with one team, he said "well we have black jerseys so it makes it harder for Rudock to see his receivers, you guys had all white jerseys".

I wish I knew how to record phone calls. It was priceless.

I was there, I didn't hear and excuses even on the stands. Gonna be s long year.

I was there too. I heard excuses in the stands, in the tailgating lots after the game, and listening to the call-in show on the way home (I got a ride with a Haweye fan). Never did I hear "Good game Iowa State" or anything like it. Hawk fans seemed to decide that any reason was a good excuse for the loss except actually giving Iowa State credit for being the better team.

Not that we need credit. We were the better team. Hawk fans just came off sounding delusional today, IMO.
