Fear the Walking Dead?

At least their first instinct was to get out of the city. Much better than those guys whose first instinct was to run to Atlanta.

Considering how fast people freak about anything through social media, etc. any more, it's rather absurd that there isn't more of a panic from people when there's a viral video of a human attacking and eating other humans in the first episode.

There was such a video in Miami a couple of years ago that didnt lead to panic

Yea, I go back and forth. Can't stand the whiny daughter. But the mom totally pisses me off that she won't say what she has seen. Ugh.
I enjoyed watching the daughter shine a flash light out the window at night. You might as well get on a loud speaker and yell "Here I am!!!!"
I'm going to give her a pass though because she's good eye candy.

Mom and daughter so annoying, but the actress playing the mom played one of the few characters I still liked the last season of Sons of Anarchy. Ugh. They may actually be worse than Lori.

I think it is a great show.... the characters know something is happening... but what exactly, and is this really happening? And from what we know, they really don't know a thing .... and are trying to stay safe from not knowing anything.

Think about it.... how quickly should they go full Shane, if at all? This is unprecedented...and EVERYTHING fails. Those in this story don't know that yet.

When someone asks what's going on, please, don't ignore them.

You talking about the neighbors? I'm pretty sure they did end up telling them. As he was leaving in the truck to go get his son, they showed her walking over to the neighbors yard in the background. I can see why going around and telling people zombies are real may be a bit hard to do.

I think he's talking about the daughter asking the mom. She's asked her a few times and the mom just looks at her.

I think she is worried the daughter will run to her boyfriend ... so what does she tell her and when...

See a dead person walking around, smash his head in.....don't know if I would tell my kids right away either. It would be pretty hard to believe even witnessing it.

Some people seem to be watching this thinking everyone knows it zombies/walkers and should know what to do.

agreed... it really is a challenge to step back from a WD fan perspective to engage this story. And I find that fun, and brilliant.

wait, what? There's a video of a zombie eating someone alive in Miami?

I was hoping there'd be more information on "how" this epidemic started. All new infections are from bites, yet they keep talking about a "virus" across the nation. If there's that many viruses across the nation you'd think it'd become apparent pretty quickly that it was from people biting people (like after case number two or three). So I'm struggling with getting involved in this one, except I think the slow decay of society the size of LA will be interesting to see.
