Changing the lighting was one of biggest mistakes they’ve ever made...

on TV it’s really obvious..

Ironically, the changes were made due to TV broadcast requirements

I can confirm that the railing was requested by Iowa (RIP Pemsel). They should be taken down for the remaining games. Maybe back up for bigger games like Kansas.

That’s good at least! I don’t think our students need fenced in.

Lights (to me and my assumption) was likely a shift to energy efficient LEDs, vs old warm tones we knew and loved.

The darkness was probably just sold to them as a 'cinematic' feature that would be nice.

You can get those same tones in led.

I'd agree with this most the time, but it was bothering me last night win or lose. I remember being a student up there and it can effect things.

Exhibit A: I was there and that floor was ******* shaking.

I was there in the upper deck. You couldn't shout a the person next to you and have them hear you.

I’m a big bring back the lights person (Hilton always stood out by not being so ******* dark), but that’s personal preference.

The students being a tarmac of empty concrete away from the court is unequivocally awful

I doubt there are many studies that show moving the student section 3 feet further away lessens home court advantage.

That study didn't measure "fan distance from the field," only the difference between regular crowds and COVID crowds. I'm sure crowd volume is more important than proximity to officials - this was looking at soccer, where officials are regularly a LONG way from any fans.

Those pics are deceiving, they put out rows of folding chairs on the baseline to fill the void.

Certainly. A lot of times ppl don't consider when they first upgrade to LED though.
