I wish it said Hilton Coliseum somewhere on the court where it is visible, not hidden along the near sideline where it cannot be seen on television

I would be concerned the dim lights in the balcony would be a safety issue. Those steps always make me nervous even when I can see them. The different heights of the steps in the Liberty Bowl freak me out worse though.
One of the problems with increasing the intensity on the court for the best TV clarity is that the cameras adjust to that intensity and everything else then looks darker on the broadcast. I can't speak to whether the seating is actually darker since I haven't been to Hilton much for years. If you went to a game, you’d know that it is t that dark inside. It just looks that way on TV.
I'm not sure writing to JP on CF is effective. Might want to send him an e-mail.

It’s been louder.
Were you there? I’ve been to many games and not sure I’ve experienced that loud and intensity for a full 40 min especially when we are up 24 pts. It was unreal. My guess on the changes is that they were recommended by legal counsel or risk management. If you refuse to make changes and something happens could be a big lawsuit. Who knows though. I don’t think it really matters if we continue to pack it in the noise and intensity is good as ever. I don’t think people that watched on TV got a full sense of the environment lay night because they were remote.
Our basketball fanbase/home court is one of our biggest selling points to recruits. Also networks like carrying games with that atmosphere, it’s why people love college sports.I forgot people tuned in to see the crowd.
Then on top of that you take the most rowdy fans move them 10 yards back
I can’t believe we moved the students a mile back from the court.LOL. At the rate these complaints are going (5 feet, 10 feet, 15 feet, 10 yards), pretty soon the student section will have been moved so far back they'll be sitting in Scheman watching the game on TV.

NERD!Yeah, the focus reflectors on LED's is convergent for intensity (plus the nature of LED light), the old reflectors were divergent as there was plenty of intensity, so you have less "halation" thruout the arena.
I think we should rename it “Cyclone Valley”, since an “alley” actually implies a narrow space with the bleachers being close to the court.LOL. But for some reason we decided to make the upper deck darker than a movie theatre removing half the crowd trying to be like staples center. Then on top of that you take the most rowdy fans move them 10 yards back off the tv/court and leave a giant empty concrete void in its place. Makes no sense.

Also I’m pretty sure anyone watching on tv last night could tell how electric the place was regardless of lighting or the distance of the students to the court. If a recruit won’t come see it for himself, he was never going to come anyway.
If you watch the games because you want to see the fans, you’re doing sports wrong.
