Darius Stevens

Re: Why do we want Darius Stevens?

Does anyone have a recruiting link to schools interested in Darius? I can't seem to find him on the Rivals site. Trying to find some information for my blog writeup today.

saw him at the game to honor his father and this kid looks like a ball player. ive heard he's really good but i dont really know much about him.... can anyone tell me about him, or where i can read about him?

He looks just like his dad.

I was 2 years older than Barry, and I remember watching him in his first exhibition game. You could tell right away he was a special player.

One unique thing about Barry's play was, although he was right handed, he always dunked with his left hand.

And he would likely have the record for 3 pointers if they had the line in his day.

His death is a tragic loss

We are limited on scholarships or may be very soon. We have to be sure on every offer.

That record would have been broke by Horny. I think Horny had it only 2 years while he played.

We were saying that going into this year too, and look where it got us.

I guess I don't understand. We shouldn't be careful based on this year?

You don't offer Darius unless you think he can help us.

I believe the 3-point line was instituted the year following Horny's graduation. He was a senior in 85/86 when we beat Michigan in the NCAA.

Dont we have 2 or 3 more schollies for that year? Dykstra has 1, HOPEFULLY Barnes will have the 2nd,
i hope we have 3 for that year... b/c dykstra, barnes, and stevens?!? are you kidding me, that three guys that would rip it up in the big 12... i smell a potenial mega class for recruiting

I hate to rain on this party, but Darius Stevens is barely playing this year for Merrillville, due to the fact that they have two 6'7" forwards. He hardly ever even plays in a game. He does sound talented though, from what I have read about him.

Well I don't think Michael Jordon started in high school either....

Just goes to show you how fast the internet can make a kid into a future star.
