If he gets the renovations to Jack Trice and Hilton completed as initially planned, then yes... he is damn sexy.

Agreed...His streak started when he was a freshman and ended after his senior year.

Even you can't not call him Barry. Darius looked like a great prospect to me. I know he could turn us down but after that fund raiser for his dad it would be hard. There were 5k people there to honor his dad. He got a standing ovation. I am not sure he could say no if we offered. Then again we are Iowa State so saying no seams to be easy.
It would be nice if Jeff Grayer would take the lead on this one. It's Jeff's Nephew. So in getting Darius and Barnes these ISU players would all be respresented on the court.

It's a class that certainly could have a lot of nostalgia to it and draw in some fans that maybe have not been around for a while - but want to live in the "good-old-days" via off-spring of former players.
I welcome that as these kids are legit. From what I've seen and heard - they are...or are at least getting there.

Well obviously if they can't play I don't see a need for them. However if Darius is ranked 30th and we could get him and another kid is ranked 29th and we have one scholly left I would rather see Darius than the other kid.
I don't want a stiff just because of his name. I want good players and if they have a tradition at ISU it's even better.

I think that the key is what the team has coming back and how many scholarships are available. For the 09 class, it looks like there will be three scholarships opening up...Peterson, Haluska (is he on scholarship?) and Thompson. If all three of those are filled, then the '10 class will only have two scholarships available (Cory Johnson and Wesley Johnson's). Of course, if GMac uses Brister's scholarship on a JUCO, there's one more opening in 2010. And that doesn't take into account the possibility of WJ or Brackins going pro early or someone transferring.

No, I don't think he did...but they did have to take him C-section because his ears wouldn't allow a vaginal delivery!

I would happily take both Barnes and Stevens--even if G-Mac manages to grab off White, Wilson or Williams in the '09 class. There are always more balls to go around, and both seem like they'll be excellent players.
